Mother of 2 kids age 5 and 7. Live in northeast texas. Have battled my weight since a Teenager. I was able to lose 112 lbs on my own just to gain 104 lbs back. Lots of yoyo dieting before I finally decided to have VSG. Before preop diet I weighed 291 lbs. I have had my ups and downs...that come with emotionally eating. Some days I am glad I had the surgery and other days I cry because I feel like my best friend has been taken away from me.

It is amazing how people treat "fat" or "obese" people so different than a "normal" size person. I hope that my personality does not change too much once I am down to a "normal" size. I guess time tells all.

I had surgery on February 17, 2012 in Dallas Texas. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. Had surgery on a friday, went back to work part time that Monday. I have never had to have any pain medicine at all since surgery. I also had my gallbladder taken out at the same time. Total of 7 incisions.

I do have a youtube channel but only one video has been posted because I am self conscious of my facial expressions when I talk on video....but maybe in the near future I will get on there and post a video (hopefuly in the next week).
