I want to first say that I stumbled across this site strictly by accident today. I had just read terrible horror stories and was sitting her rethinking my decision.

I have wanted to have weight loss surgery for many years. I had a friend that went through gastric bypass surgery. I watched her highs and her lows which was pretty tough. I finally made the decision at the end of last year to just go for it.

I am supposed to find out my date on May 16th which is my birthday and what a great birthday present this will be. I had my gall bladder removed last week and recovered really quickly. I am looking forward to moving forward with a date.

I am also excited about chatting with everyone here. Mostly everyone close to me is doubtful about the surgery and not very encouraging. It would great to connect with people that understand what is going on.
