  10. I confess I love weighing less than my husband now. He has also started watching what he eats. I want to say to those who are waiting to feel sexy and confident, to feel it now just the way you are. I love discovering sugar free vanilla and carmel skinny lattes and even better finding an inexpensive latte machine, so i can make them at home.I look forward to this every afternoon. Almonds is my new snack. My hair is falling out a lot now. Clumps of it even though I take Biotin, all my Vitamins and all of my Protein. I had thick hair so wasn't too worried about losing some of it, but now getting a little worried. I wonder where you can get wigs like Kim has on housewives show.

  13. I weigh myself every morning and use the Aria wifi smart scale. It tracks my weight and body fat and knows if it is me or my husband weighing in. It is accurate and easy to use . .
  14. My first Surgery date and weight - 8.8.12 300 Today's weight - 238 Thanksgiving goal weight - 229

  16. WLS on Aug. 8, 2012 My highest weight was 300. Today I weighed 237. Today I had a crisp, sweet Red Delicious apple. It tasted so good,
  17. I was told we could have either chewables or capsules. I found everything I needed at a vitamin shoppe, iron, calcium, multiple vitamins, biotin in capsule form. I knew I wouldn't be able to tolerate chewables.
  18. I'm making an extra effort to get in all of my liquids and protein. The doctor said if I don't get in all of my fluids I will become weak. He suggested getting the 20 onc bottles of water and putting 3 in the freezer. He said cold water makes it easier to get down. Also, he said to make sure I always have a bottle of water w/ me at all times. It doesn't seem as daunting when I look at the three bottles. They aren't really that big. The protein is important too. Getting in all of our protein is important to prevent hair loss, muscle loss, etc. what really made it stand out as vital is the heart is a muscle. I had this surgery to protect my heart and so I'm going to force myself to get in my 60 grams of protein a day. Oh and exercise. I do the bike 30 to 60 minutes 5 days a week BUT I just found out the first 20 minutes doesn't count in burning away fat. In addition I have to reach my target heart rate. I have a desk on my bike and do work while peddling but today I'm trying to reach my heart rate and it is much more difficult. This 2 nd follow up with the doctor helped me realize even more how important these rules are.

  20. Great job! It is amazing how fast the weight comes off. The Nut says this is the "honeymoon phase" and to enjoy while we can. It is such an exciting journey.
  21. I hope I like lettuce, cucumbers, green onions and tomatoes when I get to that stage.
  22. I was sleeved on the 8th of August and am doing better since I stopped taking my calcium citrate. I have to find something easier on my stomach. Taking 2 capsules three times a day was not easy. They made me feel nauseous. If you are getting dizzy or weak it could be because your blood sugars are really low. You may need a serving of carbs if they are allowed by your Dr. We invested in a Fitbit Aria WiFi Smart scale right before the surgery.. It sends my weight and my body fat percentage to my Fitbit account. I now have my 45 lb weight loss badge!

  24. Hi Sannah, you can also use the timer or stopwatch on your iPhone clock. I use it every day to keep track of the 30 minutes I need to wait after drinking Water before I can have my shake.

  26. I think the first big loss after the surgery is mostly water weight like with any diet. But instead of gaining the water weight back you will keep losing real weight. It is normal to go through this but just know you will be losing again soon.
  27. Yes, I have the same craving for tomatoes and cucumbers and I also crave fresh lettuce, red, yellow and orange bell peppers.
