    3 Months Out

I had surgery on April 18 and I am feeling really good. I have attached three pictures, the first being before my surgery on 4-8-12, the second was 6-6-12 and the last one was yesterday 7-25-12. I can't really tell how much weight I have lost until I see myself in these pictures. The weight is coming off slowly but all in all I feel good and am keeping it off. My exercise routine has been stopped due to a trip to the emergency room and a stay in the hospital. I was short of breath and I ended up having blood clots in my lungs. VERY scary when three different doctors tell you that you are lucky you went into the hospital when you did. I have been really thanking God for not taking me from this world yet. You definitely do a lot of soul searching and evaluating what is important and what is not. I ended up being in hospital 3 days and then off of work for a week and a half. This week is my first week back to work and I am weak and tired but all in all I am on the mend and feeling pretty good. God is good!!!!
  2. Hi all, I just have been curious about a few things. I am 8 weeks post op today and I have lost 49 pounds. I started my journey at 385 pounds and I really thought I would be losing weight a lot faster than I have. Is what I am experiencing normal or should I be concerned. I guess it is all unknown so I just wanted to put the question out there to see if anyone had any words of advice. Any words of wisdom are much appreciated.

    9 Weeks Post Op

Oh my gosh this post reminded me of me except for I am 6 weeks post op and 42 pounds down. I just started taking B12 today because a fellow sleever told me it gave her a lot more energy. I can't stand the protein shakes anymore and I can't eat enough to get my protein from food. I just have this terrible feeling that I am going to for sure lose my hair when 4 or 5 months comes around since I haven't been getting all of my protein. Suggestions anyone?
  5. How much protein are we supposed to have daily? I have read in different areas that it should be between 60-75 but is this forever? I also read that if you want to lose weight your protein needs to be between 45-50 daily. Can somebody help please?

    Stall

Hey everyone, I had the sleeve 3 weeks ago and I have lost 30 pounds thus far. I am wondering, is there a stall between weeks 2 and 3? I weighed in last Wednesday and weigh the same today as I did then. I don't understand because I am getting my protein and the majority of my liquids and hardly eat any food at all. I have started to walk and feel good doing so but am just not understanding why I am not losing faster. Anything you can suggest or tell me that will help is much appreciated.
