  1. And everyone else, I just came across this article regarding sleep (or lack of) and obesity...it's a very interesting read. This is one reason to make yourself get a good night's rest every night (and that means you too Jennifur!!) ADVANCE for Long-Term Care Management | Editorial
  2. Jennifur, My hair is still falling out by the handfuls. Everytime I wash or brush my hair it comes out...I can see a bit of a difference when I look at my hair or wash it, but it's not that noticeable yet...I drink plenty of water each day (60 oz on average, sometimes more), and I get in (usually) 60+ grams of protein. Any suggestions anyone???
  3. OMG this is how to use a treadmill!!! LOL MySpaceTV: OK GO by *Leo* :whoo:
  4. Ok, so why is it that when I gain, I gain it first in my gut and butt....however, when I lose weight, the first place I lose it is in my BOOBS~!!! The last place I lose it is in my gut and butt...anyone else have this problem???
  5. OUCH!!! My calorie intake today was ummm 1804 calories :help: I think it's around that TOM (although I had a hysterectomy, I still have my ovaries), because ALL day I could not get satisfied and I felt hungry ALL DAY! The good news is my protein was 103 grams! Gotta look at the bright side of things somewhere! :speechles
  6. I know, which is why I said that it wasn't a good day...only 36 grams of protein. My usual daily protein intake is about 60+ grams...yesterday was horrible. I didn't plan on being at work nearly as late as I was, it's just we're down 3 nurses and 1 clerical staff, so I'm putting in a lot of hours. Today will be a better day! So far I've had 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese and a banana. I figure my intake on Calorie Counter Database - Free Online Diet Program and for what I have planned today, it's under 1000 calories with 88grams of protein and only 75grams of carbs. I agree, I have to have my protein too or I feel horrid!!!:sick
  7. Well I didnt get home from work until 10pm last night (went in at 7:30am), so I wasn't as good as I should have been LOL...here goes: 1. Breakfast - Lean Pocket breakfast sandwich (150 calories) 2. Lunch - Smart Ones - Spicy Szechuan Style Vegetables and Chicken - (240 calories) 3. Snack - almonds (120 calories) 4. Another snack - handful of peanut m&m's and handful of organic tortillas (345 calories) 4. Dinner (late dinner!) - 1 1/2 cups Rice Chex cereal with 1/2 cup milk and splenda (220 calories) Total calories: 1075
  8. Congratulations MsJen!!!!! I am almost at 50#....slowly but surely!!!
  9. Gooooooooooooooooooo Tracy!!! Wooohoo!!! 220's!!!!! Doesn't that make you feel wonderful????
  10. Ok, I'm done pouting and I'm going to do something about it. I have gained weight and it's killing me....although I'm eating WAY too much. I have a fill scheduled for the 28th, hopefully I don't gain another 10 lbs between now and then.... I was 220.6, and as of this morning I'm up to 222.8. After my potluck at work today, I'm sure I'll be up another pound or two by tomorrow. Then tomorrow is my hubby's 30th birthday so I'm sure we'll be eating a ton then too... 11 days and counting...pray for me! I have told myself that I'm definitely going to get up and go to the gym first thing in the morning....Teri, I need you to stay on me little miss gym nazi!!!!:help:
  11. I didn't have a pre-op diet, other than the day before surgery I had to be on Clear liquids...even post-op, I was only on clear liquids the first day, full liquids until the 4th day, soft food for the next week, then solids after that...it was VERY manageable!
  12. Ahhhhhhhhhh I've been sooooo busy with work and everything else that I haven't had much time to prepare my meals. I'm usually SO good about planning my meals for the day so that I don't stray off course and up until now it's really worked for me...however it's been crazy crazy at work and I'm working late, so by the time I get home I just munch on whatever everyone else ate for dinner. Yes, I'm disgusted - I gained 1.5 lbs this week. Ok back on track Denise...and Terri, I haven't had TIME to exercise, so no, I haven't forgotten to update my exercise challenge goal I'm a bad bandster right now...and I shouldn't have cancelled that fill because now I feel like I can eat as much as I want...maybe not ANYTHING that I want, but too darn much of it! I'm rescheduled for the 28th... Any ideas for a good exercise for someone SO short on time? I don't get home until about 8pm (this is hopefully temporary) and I'm out of my house by 7am....any ideas? I'm BEAT when I get home...
  13. Hi TrackinKS! I'm here just been REALLY busy! I'll read everyone's posts from the past few days and try to catch up. I'll be gone most of today and tomorrow too! Hopefully will be back on Sunday!! I hope everyone is doing well...I'm trying to behave myself and do what Judy does!!!
  14. ugh, I'm up 1.4 lbs from my lowest weight so far....that's what I get for eating like a pig on the weekend...truth is, I really don't eat like a pig, I just eat the wrong things on the weekend. I've told my hubby I'm not allowed to spend my weekends with him anymore! LOL I was due to go in today to have a fill, however I rescheduled it. I know that I'm not as restricted as I should be, but I'm losing, even if it is slowly, and I'm not sure that I want to be so full that I can't enjoy SOME of the things that I want to enjoy - I guess I should have thought about that BEFORE I got banded! Either way, I'm losing about 1 - 1.5 lbs a week...I'm happy with that! I'll see how I feel at the end of the month when I'm due for my next fill....
  15. Hey Judy - whats the name of that bike you bought not too long ago? I'm thinking about getting one, but I don't remember what it was called...
  16. Oops, I just pm'd you that I'd pay for it! Thank you so much for your generosity and work on them!!
  17. CONGRATULATIONS JUDY!!!! I can't wait to be at -50!!! 8 more lbs for me to go to get to that goal!!!
  18. ahaha! you're too funny! But good for you girl - I can't even get a 14 up around my hips (I don't think!)...I can get my 16's on, however they look a little like the 14's do on you... Congrats! That's definitely a NSV~~!!
  19. I've lost 40 lbs this year...and I can't see hardly much of a difference. I see a little in my shoulder/chest area (go figure), and in the side view I see a difference in my neck/chin...other than that I can hardly see a difference!
  20. Good luck Tracy!!! I've definitely noticed a difference since my 3rd fill....my hubby and I have made a deal that we're not going to go out and eat for at least 2 weeks...that's a MAJOR deal for us so wish us luck! LOL I seriously believe that if it weren't for eating out so much I'd be losing faster...however, I AM losing, so I'm also ok with that. Let us know how your visit went!!!
  21. Congratulations on your weight loss...you are such an inspiration to all of us! I'd love to see what your progress has been like if you don't mind posting it.... I'm 3 months out and feel like a slow loser...of course I need to stop going out with my family for dinners! I try to make healthy choices, but either way you look at it, it's hard to find low calorie, healthy choices in a lot of restaurants. Going out with my family is not going to stop, so I've accepted that it will happen slow, however I'm doing my best to make good choices and to stop eating LONG before I would have before my band. 100 lbs seems like so much weight.... I started eating differently in January before I even had the band. I lost 12 lbs from January to April, then on April 26th I had my band....Since then I've lost another 29 lbs, for a total loss so far of 41 lbs this year. I started out with 136 lbs to lose and I now have 95 lbs to lose...slowly but surely!!!

  23. I don't have a TOM anymore because I had a hysterectomy last year, but I still have my ovaries, and I STILL crave food around that time....I've been bad all week. Had Chinese food tonight and last night we went to Tony Roma's for dinner. I'm gonna swell like crazy tomorrow. I had Kung Pao chicken and several fried won tons with sweet n sour.... I feel so guilty now...Ok, I promise myself to be good for the rest of the weekend.
  24. Speaking of cleavage...I'm losing mine!!! LOL :yell:
  25. NSV!!!!!! My first one really...well the biggest LOL So my daughters car broke down today and we had to have it towed. The tow truck driver was HOT...well he was lots younger than me, probably 26 or so, but my 24 yr old daughter was drooling over him. LOL Anyway, he flirted with me the ENTIRE time...I mean BAD. Then he didn't charge me for the tow...my hubby was like, "ok but if he calls you again (yes he called my cell once), you let me know!" LOL My daughter said "mom I'm so glad that you still 'have it'...maybe when I'm your age I'll still have it too"....wait, was that supposed to make me feel good??? 'when i'm your age...."???? LOL Oh well, at least I feel great!
