  1. I would love to do Water aerobics . Sent from my KFOT using VST
  2. Wow I actually read it all! Thank you for sharing the good AND the bad. Usually you get one or the other. Of course some only experience one or the other. I'm learning everyone is different. I'm sorry that you struggled at first but I'm happy to hear you're doing well now. Can we be expecting some before and after photos soon? Sent from my KFOT using VST
  3. I am sorry to hear this . You seem really positive though even though you're been through so much. I am so happy I've chosen the sleeve over the band. I have a cousin who has the band and she is always having problems. She carries around a cup she spits up in all the time. Why is that?
  4. I was wondering the same thing.
  5. Ok so am I EVER going to get rid of this second chin? I have lost 45 pounds since Nov. (I'm on a diet for weight loss surgery), and since Feb. of last year (2012) I've lost a total of 71 lbs. I am sooo tired of my double chin and want it gone! lol. Now I use to have four chins, this last one is just being really stubborn lol. Will it ever go away!! I can now feel my cheek bones, and jaw line, it's just that underneath part that's bothering me!!! Ugh.
  6. Is it a website? Why not just post the website so we can go look too!!!! Don't make us wait please..haha
  7. This looks really yummy!!!
  8. I know that there was a leak in the staple line. I am just wondering if maybe there was a health condition that might have made the complications worse, added to it, or kept her from healing like she should have. I am not blaming the victim either, and if she has some health problem that could have worsen it, that would also be out of her control! (and I'm not imply that you suggested I did). I'm just curious. .
  9. Congrats!!! Way to go!! I bet you feel 100x better!
  10. I do have to lose weight 75 lbs total, and 60 before they schedule my surgery..and I have to say..I am kicking butt!! I have under 20 lbs to reach my 60 lbs goal and I feel like it has taken no time. It's been hard but I know it will be worth it! I do believe that he has my best interests at heart, and that in the long run it will be easier on me to lose some weight before hand.
  11. YAY!! Congrats? How are you feeling as far as energy goes? And how are you coping with the new eating life style?
  12. May I ask you the OP a question? Did your sister have other underlying health issues that may have added extra complications that you did not mention? I am sorry to hear this has happened, but like others have mentioned sounds like malpractice. The dr.s and surgeon clearly did not do their job, and that is on THEM! Had they listen, and took action right away your sister may not have gone through what she has (of course we'll never know that).
  13. Congrats on your 102 weight loss!!! I am pre-opt right now, so I am not dealing with the hair loss yet. However, they have put me on a multi-vit. and told me to take biotin now. I also use shampoo and conditioner with biotin in it. Since I've been using them my nails grow like crazy, and my hair is soft and strong!!
  14. I already stalk your blog! And you inspire me SOOOO much!! You have no clue how many times I have turned to your blog for an uplift or encouragement. You have done a wonderful job!!!!
  15. I think it's a personal choice.. there is no right or wrong answer! You count from where you want to! I think I'm going to say from both pre-opt and from day of surgery. So I would say " I have lost _____ lbs all together, _____lbs since surgery" I use to think the only numbers that matter was what was lost after surgery until I started this diet I'm on and how hard I've worked to lose weight. Now I KNOW that what I've lost before hand is important too.
  16. I am currently on a very strict 3 month diet (or until I have lost 60 lbs). After this diet I will meet with my NUT to start a 4 week pre-opt diet. I have decided that I am going to take one day to enjoy each of my favorite meals. For breakfast I want a breakfast burrito, for lunch I want cheese sticks, and for dinner I want pizza. I have a feeling I'm probably going to feel bad after that (physically because I'm putting things in my body I haven't been use to lol).
  17. How close to spaghetti does spaghetti squash taste?
  18. Hello!! And welcome!! Pretty soon you'll be on a new journey to a much healthier life! And with that healthier life will come a different slimmer look! As far as are you putting too much hope in the surgery that totally depends on you. Weight loss surgery is a tool. YOU still have to do your part to lose weight by watching what you eat, making the right choices, working out. It will work for you if you work too!
  19. I use EAS: Advantedge which I get from Walmart. They are premade. Strawberry and vanilla are my favorite. I hated all the chocolate ones. I also use the Body Fortress.
  20. lol..I just noticed I said pre-opt and I meant post-opt. I still get confused with wording things!!
  21. I have to lose 60 lbs before they will schedule my surgery. I have lost 15lbs in two weeks!

  23. So what is the post-surgery diet like from Curry?
  24. I am from Conover Ohio, which is about 25 mins north of Dayton. I do not have a date yet, I have to do a three month diet to get my BMI down.. so far so good! I am going to Dr. Trace Curry out of Cincinnati. Right now the only thing I have to do is lose the required weight, do the nutrition part and get my date.
