  1. I have some on my blog (see my signature)...there's a page for it at the top of the blog. Hope it helps! Jo
  2. Haven't seen anything on the boards related to Magnesium as something people are taking. Anyone using it? If so, why and how is it helping you?
  3. I take centrum chewables multi, which has 15g of iron so I don't have to take it separate.
  4. Throw it all in the oven to bake together
  5. My surgeon and NUT recommended about 10-15% of calories should come from fat. I'm typically around 600 cals (I'm 7.5 wks out) so I'm usually aiming for 10-15g daily. But, frankly, I'm more focused on protein (80+ grams) and carbs (under 30g). I dot stress as much when/if I go over fat as long as it's not crazy.
  6. I've used mederma before but got turned on to kelocote when I had a breast reduction. Been using it on my scars.
  7. See my collarbones. I know they're in there somewhere!
  8. Trader joes has great frozen salmon burgers. I picked up some mahi mahi ones too, though haven't tried those yet
  9. Yay...love it!! Perfect timing... SW 5/21: 250 CW: 215 GW: 195! To be in onederland would be awesome! Will be a little tough since I'm spending 10 days in south Africa working/playing in aug, and will be in Brazil at the end of the challenge doing the same. Anticipating a potential tough time!
  10. That's one of the things that drove me to Mexico vs the local surgeon here. The surgeon in NJ had only done 65!! Vs the thousands aceves had done.
  11. Couple weeks before, but I think I could have done it post surgery as well
  12. Made homemade guac tonite and, even though I wasn't hungry and didn't need anymore food for the day, wanted to try it. Dipped a few brown rice crackers and it was great! But then didn't stop...ugh. Had one more...and why?!?! Didn't vomit or anything, but soooooo full. Erg. Mad at myself. That's like the third time I've done it in three weeks. Grr.
  13. Ha ha...well that's encouraging! at least I got a few good years out of 'em. Suppose I can always get new ones! Would love to hear from someone who's been through it and lost the weight.
  14. Hey! Anyone have a breast reduction before vsg? I went from a size or two above a DDD to a D a couple years ago. Also had the laser bra lift. Now I've had VSG and wondering what will occur! Clearly I did it backwards, but never had considered wls at the time of my reduction. In the end, whatever my boobs look like, I'll be happier thinner, so it's all good...but curious nonetheless! I'm quite the Frankenstein between my reduction and vsg scars!
  15. I have some videos and blog posts on my first few weeks if interested on my blog. If you read the tabs at the top around soft foods you'll see a list of what I pretty much focused on. Blog link in my signature. Good luck!
  16. I did samples from bjs bariatrics (because you can pick your flavors to mix and try). Then once I knew what I wanted, I pick up at Vitamin shoppe or amazon (which, ironically, last time shipped from Vitamin Shoppe anyway but slightly cheaper
  17. Everyone is soooo different with their flavor prefs! But...I'm a fan of the kiwi strawberry (reminds me of a tropical fru fru drink , roadside lemonade, caribbean cooler (though this one got old for me quick) because it tasted like a piña colada, and apple ecstasy. And the double stuffed cookie made with milk. Mmmmm
  18. Ah, yes..the first rule of the boards. Though shalt not say anything remotely about a doctor who was not yours. Sigh. Sad, but true. Never seems to work out for anyone. But I do wish people would be a little less sensitive. As someone who had surgery in Mexico...because everyone is quite sensitive, you won't find a ton of hard info on the boards re: surgeons. Just a lot of people who love their doctors (and will attack if prompted). It really comes down to your gut. If you're a data-hog like me, it's a tough pill to swallow...but you have to pick your own criteria, research it (recommend not using the boards as a primary source), and pick the one who feels right. Good luck!
  19. Not sure why the link doesn't work, but yeah, you can go to the main page and find the link on the right hand side under July, or search for enchiladas. Thanks! http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com
  20. Had a craving! Recipe and more photos at http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com/2012/07/wonton-enchiladas.html. Mine were 60 calories each (5 carbs/4 protein). One was perfect for my sleeve.
  21. They didn't hit me until 6 weeks (last week) but holy crap! I'm not typically moody and no history of depression, etc. wow!! I'm reading about the release of estrogen fat stores and it makes sense to me! Last time this happened to me was when I tried Nuva ring and I was all of a sudden crying for no reason!
