If you're not currently seeing a therapist, might be worth finding one. Weeks 6-9 were the worst for me emotionally.

I bring Protein Powder from my tubs at home dumped into big ziplocks. I thought I'd have problems bringing in my carry on, but have traveled all over the world with it and no problems.
-
Fabulous! Love the flatout...options are endless and I'm with you...satisfies my enjoyment of pizza as well!

Gma hasn't said much about my diet. Most of her talk is about going on vacation and the fact my fiance and I broke it off a little over a week ago :/First, so glad to hear you're doing well!! Second, yes, a meetup is in order I'm out of the country for a couple more weeks but let's do late sept. I also need to actually schedule an official meetup since more people signed up in jersey!
Last, sorry to hear about the split...sounds like it may have been a mutual decision, but either way, hope you're okay with it. You've got time an youth and now some serious weight loss on your side! I'm loving what it's doing for my confidence in the man department
Later girl...thx for the update. Looks like I wasn't the only one looking for it!

Happier update!!! So they screwed up and scheduled me for an endo not a stent removal' date=' gi dr refused as its been 4 weeks, minimum of 6 needed. Weelllllllll I was so nauseas and dry heaving all night, ended up BACK in the hospital. Stent shifted!. While the drs argued about taking it out for a few days I started spiking fevers and got sick. They thought it was my picc line so they took it out, sent the end to the lab, and out another in my left arm. Gi dr finally took it out and come to find out, it shifted and dug into my esophagus!! So that's probably why I got sick!!! They still have me on 2 Hugh dose antibiotics and an anti fungal IV just incase. And best news of all, LEAK HEALED!!!!!!!!!!!!!Next step: baby steps to eating with my raw and collausally sore throat to blow this Popsicle stand![/quote']
Any updates, girl?!

I am making your turkey chili and just wanted to know how much garlic do you start with? I put a tbsp to start. Also' date=' how to cook the chili in a pot (I do not have a crockpot)? Thanks[/quote']
I use minced garlic from a jar and use a LOT (prob the equivalent of a clove). I'd start with a tbsp...just taste about 5 mins before it's done on stovetop and adjust as necessary
For stovetop, bring to a boil then simmer on low for about 25-30 mins. Just watch the liquid level and add Water or broth as needed. I don't do it on a stovetop so you may need more or less. For refried Beans, I'd add about 10 mins in...but not quite sure. You may need to experiment.

They are over with the diet/protein stuff. And yes' date=' they are good![/quote']Yup...in mine it's sort of near the pharmacy with diet/protein

These are the only ones I eat. I do a half as a snack and I'm good. Here on the east coast I've found them at Walmart and Vitamin Shoppe.< /p>

You might try googling "5 day pouch test" as a place to start to get back on track

I can't find the recipe I saw yesterday for eggs made with cheese and it was chicken wing flavored or something...do you have it' date=' or remember it. I went to that site and couldn't find it, I wanted to make it....ugh...

Go to the "solid food stage" page at the top, scroll down, and look for "buffalo chicken bites"

I love your blog and your recipes. What are your goal numbers each day? I shoot for 80g of protein' date=' 30g of carbs and as much Water as I can drink (I usually get in more than 64oz.) I asked the Nutritionist about carbs, but she would only tell me to focus on Protein and Water.I just wanted to see how someone else is doing!
Thank you![/quote']
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it I aim for 105/35/15 (protein/carbs/fat). Practically, though, I usually get about 80g of Protein, am under 30g of carbs, and somewhere around 20g of fat. Usually about 50oz of water. No stalls yet or hair loss, but both obviously a potential at any time! Really happy with weight loss progress and pace, particularly since I haven't been working out much the last month. Hope you're doing well!

Resurrected one of my favorite things to make pre-surgery with a few tweaks to try to keep calories manageable. Recipe and nutritional info on my blog at http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com/2012/08/turkey-chili.html

Oh dear this is making my decision even harder Dr Garcia is who I'm considering..anybody willing to give me info on Dr Aceves as far as price' date=' follow up care and how long the process and or stay is is really appreciate it!!Great job on all the weight loss best wishes to you all;)[/quote']
Here's the tricky thing. If you started a thread about any of the most popular docs in Mexico you'd be swarmed with people talking about their amazing experiences. People who had miserable experiences amongst the common/top list seem rare (and woe the person who posts one lest they be attacked by those whose dr is considered sacred). I'd take the boards as info, but with a grain of salt. Know what's important to you, and research research research. My blog has the questions that I focused on (top tab) at http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com if you're interested. Aceves was the perfect choice for me...AMAZING! But since most of us will only do this once and mentally you'll have nothing to compare it to, I'd suspect you'll have a fabulous experience with any number of doctors. Just find someone with tons of experience, low or no complication rate, the price your circumstances allow, and what "feels right". Wish you the best of luck!!

Another Aceves fan here! Sleeved 5/21. Down 55 lbs in 3.5 mos from surgery weight of 250 (5'7"). Went to Mexicali by myself and couldn't have been a better experience!

You can buy singles at Vitamin Shoppe in the cooler area. People have strong reactions to different flavors to strongly suggest that you get one of several flavors and try them out. If you find one you like, then you can buy more. I found them to be a lifesaver early on...haven lost any hair at nearly four months out. I may still lose it, but attribute lack of loss so far as being religious about getting lots and lots of Protein in the early days. Even if I didn't "like" the flavor of something

Thanks for the update. I have been reading that your extra skin will tighten up in time to a degree. But it's hard to be patient.I hope so! Thinking positive thoughts

Curious did any one else skip a period after surgery? I actually got mine a week after but now I am 2 weeks late and not sexually active so just curious if anyone else skipped periods. If I miss next month I'll advise my doctor but I can only assume my body is in complete shock and with all the new Vitamins etc. my body is just not 100% yet.First it came early, then it came two weeks late. I got on the pill around month three so now I'm on a schedule
