  1. I've not made it to the support meetings but do want to go in May for the clothing exchange. I think the exchange is a great idea and hope to swap some work clothes out
  2. I'm a terrible speller at times and need spell check.....where is the spell check for this forum?
  3. A few years ago when I first started looking in Bariatric surgery I had Health Alliance and you had to complete the "new you" program, is that still one of their requirements? I switched last year to Health Link because the sleeve was not covered by Health Alliance. Aside from some out of pocket expenses ie program cost and co pays the rest was paid by insurance co.
  4. Tomorrow morning April 16th is mine. I'm nervous but excited at the same time....made it through the 2 weeks pre op diet and got some new protien powder that I can tolerate and I'm ready to go. What really bothers me is the last minute phone calls and suggestions from family and friends telling me not to do the surgery. I've researched and know this is what I want and hope they will realize it is for the best in the long run.
  5. Ok I've ordered some to go packets and some samplers. Hope this is the fix I need

  7. Day four of pre-op liquid diet.....I cheated....had a piece of veggie cold pizza...the kind that is made with croissant n cream cheese. I've got such a headache and can't drink thiese shakes with this smell. I've ordered some nectar ones and some protien drink shots.....I feel as if I'm on the edge of the slippery slope and getting ready to fall.
  8. I use unjury and it smells like baby formula.
  9. How do you get past the smell of the protein shakes? I can tolerate the taste but the smell is getting to me.
  10. I start a 2 week liquid only diet on March 28th.....hoping the Protein shakes will help keep the hunger monster at bay.
  11. I'm about just over a month out for my surgery and am already having mixed feelings. I try to stay positive, keep excited and not freak out, but it is hard when you got all the Debbie Downers around you. I hope all goes well and wish you luck. You are almost there to a new chapter in your life.
  12. Well good news, today I got the call and my surgery date has been set for the sleeve. I'm excited and a bit scared. I've got my post op chewable vitamins and supplements ordered. I have a feeling I’m going to be on here a bunch for advice and support. Robin
