  1. My date is June 5th! Here's to the June sleevers!
  2. I am just over a month away from my surgery date. I don't intend on gorging myself with last meals, but is there anything I might want to have that I won't be able to eat for awhile after my surgery? I have heard steak is hard to digest & crunchy foods like salad. Any recommendations?
  3. I would like to introduce myself. I am a 39 yr old divorced mother of 12 yr. old boy/girl twins. Being overweight is consuming my life so I have made the decision to have gastric sleeve performed on June 5th. It was approved by my insurance & I am taking the summer off of work. My weight has ballooned to 287 lbs. I have severe sleep apnea. I don't like the way I look. I keep thinking of all the painful remarks that hurt my feelings. My ex-husband called me a "fat hillbilly" during one of our last arguments before we split up. I am having the surgery for me but the look on his face when I am down to my fighting weight will be priceless. I am hoping to make some friends on this site. I am going to need support and a community to help me through this process. I am feeling so many emotions but I am really looking forward to these life changes & hope to have a positive, healthy future.
