Success Stories With Low Bmi?
it comes off slower than with people with higher BMIs. i just keep plugging away!

From first consult to surgery..
I had what felt like 1000 appointments. I tried to go through insurance, but was denied, so I ended up being self-pay. I had to see a pulmonary doc, psych, nutritionist, endochrinologist, heart doc...I think that's it.

Anyone else losing weight very slowly or not at all like me?
I had a few plateaus along the way, but I just kept at it. It's totally normal. I've lost 50lbs ...20 more until initial goal and 30 more to my "dream goal." Ha

I Don't Want To Tell Anyone I'm Considering Lapband
I told people at work I had my gall bladder out. Lol. I'm losing weight slow and steady so no one really says anything. Ps I only told 2 people about the surgery.

Manhattan buddy or mentor wanted..
I'm also in the city. After surgery I literally walked around my apartment to help with the gas. I made 1 outside trip to Duane Reade to pick up my meds, but otherwise I stayed in for the first 3 days.

I take those fiber gummies each day and that helps. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water.- What's your goal weight?
I'm 5'6" and my doc didn't give me a goal. I set an ultimate pie in the sky goal at 135, but I'm setting mini goals along the way. Next goal: 160. It's coming off very, very slow...but I'm headed in the right direction.- GOAL REACHED! YESSSS!
Amazing!!!! Congrats- A Very Blessed December Challenge

He doesn't do the fills. His PA does them, but you'll see him for your 1st post op appt (1 week after surgery). Garber was great though. Before surgery I had emailed him several times and he always replied quickly. I didn't have to do a pre op diet. I just had to be on Clear liquids the day before. However, I did put myself on a diet the week before surgery anyway. Good luck to you!- A Very Blessed December Challenge
