  1. I appreciate the replies, thank you!! Isn't it whey Protein powder people have reactions to? I really like my Olympian labs vanilla pea Protein Powder that I've been usin for a while in smoothies etc. it has 25g of protein/scoop. Right on!! Guess I'll have to try a few more for variety.
  2. That makes sense. I'm just trying to be financially aware, ahead of time. We get food stamps though, and I can't buy Protein powder with them. It's only 4 weeks though, it can't be too much. (Big picture).
  3. Aproximately how much should I expect to spend on Protein powder, Vitamins and all other necessities in the first few weeks? I'm trying to get as close as I can to what everything might cost in the end. Thanks
  4. Have you ever lost 20 lbs in a month before in your life!!!!!!?? Sounds like success to me!
  5. I didn't read all the replies, but I read potatoes not prozac last month, and he recommends a lot of protein ( up to 41 g) at every Meal to keep sugar addiction and depression at bay. I'm eating 25g/ meal as a goal now, PRE surgery.
  6. It's 1" for every 30 lbs. but I can say from experience that that's not always true. Well I don't have a penis, but my husband does and he just lost 30 lbs. so.....
  7. This is so good to hear! My husband has never even seen me naked. We have six children together, that's proof that we do get intimate, but never w the lights on. I can't wait for a cute nightie!
  8. I don't know of its too late, but don't tell people!! I'm not telling anyone, even my kids, until I'm successful and happy. And by successful, I mean near my ultimate goal. I'm sorry youre frustrated. That does have to stink.
  9. Icon, that is exactly how I feel. Also, I have been pregnant and doing the 9 month wait SIX times. I think about the anticipation and countdowns etc and how fast they came. How quickly in was sitting in that hospital bed holding my wrinkly new bundle of joy. So fast! And now? I barely remember any of my pregnancies. It'll fly by. In the meantime, I just want to stop obsessing and live my life. Every little moment with my children, the holidays, and enjoy them almost as if there isn't a HUGE life changing event in my future. Who knows how ill feel after. Or if there will be an after. I'm actually learning to enjoy the ride.
  10. Thank you, everyone. 95% of the time I'm super cnfident that this is the right choice. I've always said "if I could get weightloss surgery, I would." And I just found out this year about mx and the fact that maybe I can actually afford it!! I'm SO ready!!! I really don't think I'll fail. I'm actually really good at eating healthyish and losing. It's just that darned willpower and hunger. Oh the hunger. And the big'ole stomach! Stupid thing never did me any favors. This is the answer to my prayers!!! Thx for the encouragement!
  11. I'm typing from my phone and couldn't see what I was typing. Cont..... Tonight I totally went of the plan. I had seconds o dinner and about maybe 12 assorted mini candybars. I feel a little defeated. Hopefully I'll just jump back on plan tomorrow but its got me thinking. What if I fail the sleeve? How humiliating that would be? I mean, I'm sure it's easier with a smaller stomach, to lose an to get back on track more quickly, but what if I am the one that fails? Sigh
  12. Can't say much yet, but I want to get this up now. I can't get surgery until feb or march, but I'm doing weight watchers until the. Or that's the plan anyway. I'm not doing any set workout right now, just trying to get a little more active.
  13. You are hilarious!! Thank you For sharing your ups and downs, so that the rest of us can see what it might be like. I agree, I HATE being sick. I focus on only that as well. Like a migraine. I'm usually pretty certain I'm going to die. "What sorta place is this?" I LOL'd. You should write for a living! Maybe you do? I'm glad you made it out and had a good overall experience.
  14. Hopefully! I'm thinking either the end of feb or start of march! Can't make a deposit yet, so I can't say for sure. It'd be fun to meet up!
  15. I've actually just decided that I want to be sleeved by dr Garcia!! It boils down to the fact that between the 2 I'd narrowed it down to, he seems sweeter and more personable. And he speaks English! Instinct. Phew. It feels so freeing to have decided!! I'd like to join.
  16. How about patients that are seriously considering DR. Garcia? IM TIRN BETWEEN 2 surgeons, Garcia and another.
  17. I thought we weren't supposed to be hungry after? Man. I guess your mileage may vary. Sad face
  18. Congratulations!!!! Lol Snow and diamond, Rolf!!!
  19. You look fantastic, but know what stands out the most to me? THAT SMILE!!!!! Look how happy you are!!!!!
  20. I'd so be there! I'm going w a diff surgeon tho Andrade to wait. Hope you find one. Has I be a good day, since its by birthday.
  21. Yup!! My husband actually told me he was tired of hearing about it. At least yours are willing to listen. I'm trying to preoccupy my mind, but I'm a SAHM, bored out of my mjnd, waiting. It'll fly, right? Lol
  22. What should I invest in before surgery, and what all should I pack? What will I need afterwards? I need to make a big list. I still have aprox 3 mos.
  23. I can't go until tax return time and I'm consumed with it. I wish I only had a few weeks!!!
