I tend to agree with the theory that he is threatened by your new body and frame of mind. I understand the unique relationship thing and I think that with the freedom he enjoys the very least he can do is be supportive and encouraging towards you.
So with those thoughts in mind, I would say what an idiot you have on your hands, Good luck to him in finding a woman he does "like" that will allow him the same freedoms he has now.
I'm am so sorry you are having to deal with this BS. If it were me I would do this:
Tell him he just had his last chance at making you feel bad and the next tine the moron opens his stupid-a$$ mouth he can go find himself a "hot chick" to live with. And in the meantime I would really hope that the hot chicks can fulfill any needs he may have because I sure wouldn't be doing it. There;s plenty of hot guys around too. Perhaps one of them would like the opportunity to make you feel a little better:)

    Divorce.
Don't waste your time. Life is too short to miss out on true happiness. Yes divorce is a scary, harsh word but you do not sound happy and in love with this man. Who could blame you?

You can handle him looking at "hot chicks"
But do you like it? I mean you have a unique relationship... But is that something that is acceptable? Listening to who he wants outside of the marriage?

Allow me to clarify. I smoked Pre Op and ended up smoking a couple months post op to help with Constipation, honestly. I got heartburn more than I did Pre Op, and it made me nauseous. Your choice. For me it wasn't worth it. I've been putting up my cigarette money for clothes and goal rewards

Personal choice. I stopped for two weeks and smoke still. Quitting is up to you. And don't let other people's opinions influence you. Do what you want no one else.

Not true. Your doc may have, but mine did not. I came out just fine and I have lost over 50lbs in less then 3 months. So while smoking isn't the best thing, I imagine its better then coming home and shooting up heroin.
And please don't get holier then thou about smoking. My doc new I was using the patch to try and quit.
Also if you were to scream at me because I was smoking in a permitted area and my smoke blew within a foot of you I would get right back in your face. Would you like it if when you were overweight and someone screamed at you because your stomach almost touched them?
I don't condone smoking. All smokers know its bad. It's dangerous. But how would bashing and belittling someone ever help them stop?

My answer to this question is yes. I didn't quit and wasn't asked to.. Please note that I am simply answering the question. I am not a smoking advocate nor do I encourage anyone to break rules set out by a physician. I had no complications from smoking before and after surgery and I healed just fine. Everyone may not have the same experience as me, but then again they might.
Again - I am answering this question. I do not require a lecture or any advice.

Thanks Shaonintx for answering my question. I agree, no need for lecturing, just answers. I'm certain I can cut down a lot, but don't know if I'm ready (honestly) to stop all together. At the end, my choice. Thanks again.

Yes I smoke and I am 7 weeks out. Dr said not to smoke the first 21 days. Yes I am aware of the consequences. Its personal choice.

It's bad for your incisions, it makes it more difficult for your body to heal. On top of all the other bad things it does, I'd quit completely.
I know it's hard. I'm a reformed smoker myself - smoke free for 4 years and couldn't be happier about it!

I was sleeved on 2/19 and also can't exercise like I wanted but due extensive neurosurgery. I also have lost 60lbs. However, my nut told to get a lifecycle which can be used for the arms and legs and is a real workout. She explained that while most people will slow down after 3 months, I will start and consistently lose more weight in month 4-6. My wife bought a recumbent bike and a Pilates machine for me with the approval of my neurosurgeon and as an early 25th anniversary present. Good luck to you.

:-) I sure was happy that I could use my own back fat to bring it up and where it was supposed to be! My tush had sagged big time, now it's fluffed out, nice and round.....some of it will go down with swelling, but I think I am going to LOVE IT!
RIZA~ I am self pay. I was lucky enough to stumble upon my surgeon through the mis information from Jerusalem clinic, I found Dr Niebles, and I seriously am happy with the work he did. :-) There are a lot of options for self pay! :-)

That was just straight up negative.
I think the op brings up a good point. I often find it EXTREMELY demoralizing to read the "I've only lost 50lbs in 2 months, what's wrong with me?" posts. They make me feel like a failure.
She's not trying to make anyone feel bad. She may be pointing out that some people's expectations aren't based on reality...

I think I am going to have to choose which topics I read more carefully. I am a little frustrated so please forgive me when I say this, but seriously people! Almost every day there is another post that goes something like this:
OMG! I have only lost 50 lbs in 45 days and now its stopped! Am I broken? Am I ever going to lose anymore weight?
Why do people ask this question? They are losing more than a pound a day and their body needs time to adjust before continuing with weight loss. Don't get me wrong, I am not completely happy with my 28 lbs, but I am happy with many of my NSV's, including not having a ton of extra skin to contend with.
I'm just saying, come on!, you have to know your body has practically performed a miracle for you and just needs a rest. I believe that EVERYONE here is smart enough to know this. Saying I'm frustrated because I am in a stall is one thing. After major surgery it is frustrating to have to wait. I just can't believe that people think that if they continue eating between 600-900 calories a day that they are never going to lose another pound even if it takes a while.

I feel like I am in the same boat you are. I am ONLY 4 1/2 months out from surgery, down 38 pounds and the holidays were my downfall. Well they are over now and I still am not motivated. I know what I'm supposed to be doing, but can't make it happen. This is my first time on this (or any site). I guess I need some support.
Good luck and hopefully we'll both find the motivation needed to get back on track!

All of my LIPO was included in my Mommy Makeover- and he did a lot. Most was applied to my butt lift, but Dr Neibles did mention that he disposed of a lot also.
