  1. I have felt the sweats, and nausea when I took a bite of my husbands DQ burger...I do not want to do that again..it had to have been the high fat or the carbs...either way, not a great feeling. But I'm ok to have experienced that cuz now I know not to do it again..learned my lesson real quick! Lol BTW, the ill feeling was gone within 15 min or so. keepin it real
  2. Oh no, that sounds like no support at all. Shame on ur wife (no disrespect meant). When I had my surgery, my husband wouldn't eat anything around me, I'd even have to tell him to go ahead and eat and that I was ok. He was and 2 1/2 mo out he still is super considerate when we eat. keepin it real
  3. Everything will get better, trust me, I've been there....no one ever tells u about the emotional roller coaster u ride for at least the first month...its totally normal ) keepin it real

  5. My doc and nut told me to never have caffeine because of the ulcers caffeine may cause in my newly resized stomach. Why ruin ur new stomach? U don't have much of it, so take extra care of ur tummy keepin it real
  6. I stalled at about 3 wks out. That stall lasted about 2 wks then I lost 2 lbs. Then I stalled again for another 2 wks and then lost another 3 lbs....Stalls are extremely frustrating, but during my stalls I too noticed inches lost. I'm hoping the scale will start moving tho. keepin it real

  9. Seems like there's no real way of knowing...I have been saying ima try a lil bit of grey goose vodka but I haven't yet...maybe tonight keepin it real

  11. My doc gave me some lil tablets that I put under my tongue to dissolve when I get hiccups. He said hiccups are a sign to slow down. The pills are to stop the esophageal spasms (hiccups). keepin it real
  12. Wow!! 2yrs!! Im 2 1/2 months out and was told by my Nut that I'm ok to drink. keepin it real

  14. Beef broth (15g protein) from my docs office oh and SF popsicles no Protein, only 15 cals) keepin it real
  15. Yup seriously, permission to consume ranges anywhere from 2 weeks out to an entire yr out! keepin it real
  16. It's so weird how our docs have such different timeliness on when to consume alcohol...there's just huge differences. keepin it real
  17. I am 2 1/2 months out with a total loss of 37.8 lbs. I went in for my 3mo. post op appt and my doc and nut were very happy with my weight loss. I told them I was disappointed that I wasn't losing faster and they assured me I was on my way. The good thing is that even though the scale is not budging I fit more comfortably into some of my jeans and all my bras...wish the boobs would stay. Lol Everyone, keep doin what ur doin, I'm sure we will soon reach our goal weight!! keepin it real
  18. I don't want to ruin mine. But I sure would like to take a sip or two of grey goose vodka or Patron (if I dare). Either way good for u Maybe I'll chicken out and just wait. keepin it real
  19. I, by no means, meant to be 'negative' or rude. I simply agreed that maybe she shouldn't waste her time reading what she doesnt find interesting. I think we are all entitled to our own opinion, and thank goodness for this forum where we can discuss anything with fellow VSG ppl. keepin it real
