I am feeling pretty good today. I have had a bottle of water, a protein shake, and some cream of chicken soup. No pain meds here either. Still having some "gas" pains when I take a drink. Its more pressure in my chest until it works its way out.

Good Luck, hope you feel better soon. My husband has been pushing me to drink more but it makes my stomach hurt if I do too much too fast.

I went back to OR at 11:00 and got home at 3:00. So far I am just a little sore. No gas pain unless I drink too many drink in a row. Trying to just take sips. Trying some bullion right now. Been up walking around like they told me. My sweet husband has been taking care of me.

I am a bandster! I am in my way home and considering I feel great. Glad to be on this side.

Today is my day!!! I will be heading in soon. Thanks to everyone for all the advice and answers. I will see you on the other side.

If I can keep eating fruit I will be ok. If not I will have to take something to make things "run" smooth. I am going to ask them tomorrow before I leave the hospital to see what they suggest. I know the pain meds will slow things down alot too. I had the same problem a couple weeks after my gall bladder surgery. I think it may just be the body getting used to that much protein after not having it for so long. Not sure Thanks too BTW. I am very excited and nervous about tomorrow

My inside come to screaching halt on all protein shakes. I wasn't told I could eat oranges on my pre-op, but when I got sick right after Christmas I started eating 2 cuties a day and that helped A LOT. Things started moving so to speak.

I love unjury. I notice that I have a little bit of an "issue" when I drink them. I have the opposite effect when I drink eas advantage. Good luck with the problem.

Congratulations. That is great news!

You will be fine. Have you checked out the surgeons stats? That made me feel better after I looked at many different doctors. I have had a few other surgeries and it is scary but this too shall pass. You have to decide which is greater, your need for a new life or your fear of what if. You would not hesitate if you had to have open heart surgery, or something like that, an that may be what you are facing in the future if you don't make yourself as healthy as possible today. You will do great, hang in there and pray. God will give you the answer you need if you just listen for him. Much luck and love to you

I just got the call from the hospital that I go in a 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. I am so excited! I can not wait to be on the other side of this and continue on this journey to the real me again. I am excited about the future and what it hold for me and my family. I will be healthy, I will be sexy and exciting again, I will get my family healthier too. :D

My surgery is Thursday. We just have to believe in ourselves and do what they tell us to do. If we follow the rules we will do great. I am scared about not losing anything too, but I have already lost 34 lbs from the very beginning of this process 9.5 of which were during the 2 week pre-op diet. I know this is the right thing to do if I ever want my body back. Good Luck on Friday and prayers and hugs to you

I am aloud bullion cubes as much as I want. I personally think you would be fine. I think the only thing that is high in them is sodium.

We will support you through this too. My husband supports me and the rest of my family "say" they do, but I feel they are very skeptical. I know I will have to prove to them that I can and will do it.

It will fly past. I had to do 6 months for my insurance and now I am getting my band on Thursday. Just do what they tell you and things will go great. So excited for you

I am still pre-op but have lost 34 lbs from my heaviest and I am still wearing the same clothes. My husband tells me he can see a change in my face and upper body (under my boobs looks more narrow). Hang in there if the scales are moving change is coming. Sounds like you are doing great if you have lost 40 lbs. Have you tried taking before and after pictures? Can you see a difference anyplace else?
