I want to Celebrate and shout from the rooftops! I made my surgeons goal on my appt day! I didnt even know he had a goal for me and he turns to me and says, "Congratulations, you made goal!" I said what??? I made up an arbitrary goal of 135 because i remember weighing that in college. I had no idea what my goal was supposed to be... He said "see, your ideal weight is 138 and I weighed in at exactly 138! Wow.. I thought I had missed it by three pounds but it was so refreshing to say that I finally made A goal. I always fall short but not this time! My wonderful hubby made a great slideshow of the whole process, starting from our Brazil vacation spring of 2011 to now. Its been quite a ride!!!!! Woohooo... I cant believe I made my surgeons goal in exactly one year!!!!! Wooop! enjoy the show..

i started at 273lbs and today i weighed in at 173!
i have before and after pics in my gallery!

i went thru hell & back to get here after being diagnosed with a leak at week 5 but i overcame it.
my short term goal is to be 155lbs by my 24th birthday on aug 26th.
my long term goal is to be 135lbs.

My surgery was awesome! No pain meds once i left the hospital. Everything so far stays down. Just getting in the protien,....

Thanks everyone! I was sleeved march 1, 2012 starting weight 211 weight day of surgery 187 weight as of today 145. I am only 5'1 as well.

My sisters had gastric bypass and my niece had the sleeve. I have watched them go through their processes and decided the sleeve was the best option for me. Its less evasive, only one incision line vs 3, no re-routing of the small intestines and most importantly, not much Vitamin deficiencies. Any type of surgery is scary. My sisters and niece do not regret the procedures. They have been really honest about the procedure ups and downs. Its alot of soul searching as well. Best of luck to you!

What an inspirational story! Thank you for sharing it! I am new to the forum and looking at the Gastric Sleeve procedure. Paperwork has been sent, waiting to hear back to see if I am a candidate.
