  1. Thank you for your honest feedback. We need to all know what can happen. My surgery is Wednesday. I remember my gall bladder surgery was very painful for me so I'm preparing myself! This will all be worth the healthy life that we are getting in return! Hang in there! Take care!
  2. Thanks. Great idea. Day 12 liquid preop- surgery is Wed and I can't wait to recover and be able to start introducing healthy things into my diet- obviously at the right phases. I love reading your post. It's very helpful!
  3. Yes indeed! We can definitely see a big change! Congrats to you!
  4. Yes, keep us posted! Good luck with every thing!
  5. So, do you immediately feel this cold in the hospital right after surgery or does this happen after you get home? Trying to figure out what I may need at the hospital to keep warm if its immediately. Thanks
  6. Grammy, I love reading all of your posts! You are so positive and a great motivator! Thanks for your great advice! You so deserve this wonderful new life! You look beautiful! Congrats on an amazing job!
  7. Hi there, sorry you are having this trouble. When you talk to HR, you may want to check into filing FMLA. As long as your doctors shows it is a medical necessity, they should approve and this would protect your job.
  8. Day 5 for me and I did briefly break down today. My husband said something to me and I took it the wrong way. In hindsight, it was stupid and I normally would not have reacted like that. I am going thru periods of the day where I feel hungry. This liquid diet is tough! 9 more days to go!
  9. So exciting! Good luck with everything!
  10. Congrats! You are doing fantastic! I agree that you are looking great and so much younger!
  11. Hi Jill, congrats on your surgery! Sounds like you are right on track! I'm on my 4th day of the dreaded 14 day liquid pre- op diet! I hate this! Can't wait to be where you are! We lived in New Orleans and the MS Gulf Coast for several years! I miss my great seafood! In fact, for my last meal, I had Boiled Crawfish shipped here! They were delicious!
  12. Hope all is well! Hang in there!
  13. Go Christie! Congrats! I'm on day 4 of preop liquid diet! I love keeping up with everyone's journey so I know what to expect! Keep us posted!
  14. Day 3 for me! Not going to lie, it's hard! I started taking my vitamins that I have to take after surgery and I feel better than I did the first day without them! We just have to make up our minds to stick to this!
  15. Lburtie, I totally agree! We do have a problem! I'm not hungry either but it's the thought of having something good to eat that is getting me! I'm sticking with it! Haven't cheated and don't plan to! Good luck!
  16. Day one for me on the 14 day liquid pre-op! It's HARD!
  17. Awesome job! You look great!
  18. Thank you all! Yoli, yes, I see that we have the same date! Started this liquid pre- op diet today and it is kicking my butt! Lol
  19. I went today for my pre-op testing. When I got to work, I received a phone call from the Bariatric nurse. The doctor saw 6-9 milliliter lesions when he did the upper gi. They have me scheduled next Thursday for a scope so they can examine further. I have no idea what this means....if something is terribly wrong with me and this was found by accident or if everything is ok and I'll be able to get my surgery on 4/10. Please keep me in your thoughts! Hoping for the best!
  20. You are doing great! Congrats!
  21. You are doing a great job! Congrats!
  22. Wishing you both a speedy recovery!
  23. Oh Katie, I have to do 2 weeks.... Can't imagine doing 4 weeks! Stay strong! Remember why we are doing this and focus what our life will be when we are healthier! We can do this!
