I totally understand your pain I was banded May 9, 2013 @ 9:am and the pain took my by surprise, the pain that your feeling from the gas that was out into your body cavity to creat more room so your Doctor can work in such a small space, the gas is the most painful part of the surgery for as well, it will easy up some as the days pass I still dealing with the pain everyday as well but it's not as bad now it's has moved from my shoulder to my neck and in my side, I pray that you feel better and I pray for a healthy healing. Take your mess and ice that area and lift your arm up and down when you feel the pain, but do both arms this is also a way to toned your arms as well:-) walking helps as well. Remember your body has to Absorb the gas it has no way to go but up.

Hello all just want you all to know that I'm feeling a lot better today, I did have to go to the ER these evening with Severe chest pain, with all of the test that they ran on me everything came back fine:-) its great to know some awesome Dr's being a Nurse is great when you have friends that are Dr's / Nurse and have the same passion that I have about there jobs:-) I did have a BM yeahhhhhh! Milk of Magnesia works wonders LOL I'm going to hang in there and keep pushing myself to get better slowly, Drum Roll please I'm down 20lbs from my May 9,2013 which was the day that I was banded and have dropped 1 dress size from a 18 to a 16 woohoo! Thanks to everyone that reached out and gave me some encouraging words of kindness, I Truly Thank GOD for your all and Pray that you all have a healthy healing. Hugs My Bandies:-) heading out for my 4mile walk:-)

thanks to the Gas X extra strength dissolvable strips and Miralax is really work, I have never been so happy about passing gas. LOL! I'm walking around a lot and sipping on Water. 2 days Post-Op what a relief.

I'm passing so much Gas I had to make sure that I did not crap in my pants:-) LOL Wow the little things that make LB (Lap Band) people happy. Lol I just might have to start selling gas. HAHAHAHA! I'm cracking myself up.

Thanks ladies for telling me to use the heating pad, I normally don't do well with a hearing pad and normally us ice, because my body works better with ice but this heating pad, along with the GasX strips, Miralax, walking and following my Post-Op instruction the gas is moving even better now. But I still have not burp yet, but I am passing some great gas. Lol

My throat is really sore mostly when I wake up from a nap and my neck and throat hurts me really bad:-( I'm still sipping on Clear Liquids I have not moved to full liquids yet, just want to make sure that I'm able to keep things down.

These Gas X strips work wonders trust me. I posted a photo of the box.

It's looks great to me I'm a Nurse, remember that you are healing from the inside to the out. Let the strip stay on until they fall off on there own, trust your site looks good. Don't worry just heal healthy. Pat it dry and clean softly around it with a antibacterial soap, you can use the hand soap from Wal-Mart it cost less than a $1.00 your doing great.
