  1. Absolutely, Crystal light is all I have been drinking. I hope that is ok, because I really have a lot of trouble getting the water in otherwise. Isn't Cherry Pomegranate the best? Love it!! Next is their raspberry iced tea. Keep up the great work. PS 64 oz. sure is alot to drink, I'm in the bathroom constantly! People are gonna think I have a problem. LOL Cindy
  2. Wow, two days of the challenge done. Everyone is doing so good! Have I got the exercise thing right, is it 20 hours for July, or 20 days for July? I'm sure it doesn't matter, either one would work, just want to be on the same page. Having this challenge is the best, it is really a great motivator. Thanks everyone. Cindy
  3. Hi Metalband. Just read your note but I see you already did it. Way to go! I just kept playing with it and eventually it worked. Now I can't get it to update. Oh well, I'll keep trying! One day done, 19 to go. I like this challenge! Cindhy
  4. I am so with you, I also have ticker envy. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but there you have it. Perhaps eventually it will work for me. Let me know if you figure it out metalband, maybe you could share? I'll keep plugging away and see what happens too. Cindy
  5. I'm very excited, count me in, too. This is just what I need to get my but in gear. I received the dvd I ordered, hip hop abs, and tried it the other night. I think my goal will be to try to do that every night. Cindy
  6. Alsgyrls, You know I guess it was kind of fast, compared to some. It seemed like forever, but it did actually move quickly. Everything seemed to fall into place. The sleep study was already scheduled before I went to the seminar, from my primary care because, I just happened to mention to my doctor during my physical about how tired I was all the time, etc. Looks like you're doing great, keep up the good work! We are a-MAY-zing now, aren't we!!! Cindy
  7. Hi there. No, the thread is still there. It is under May 2007 bandsters. Congratulations on onederland. That is so awesome. I can't wait to join you!! Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be able to say the same. Best of luck and come back to the thread!!! Cindy
  8. Gingin, I had my surgery May 10, 2007 with Adam Glasgow (Glasgow and Glasgow) in Norwood, MA. They are a father/son team, Adam is the son, Arthur is the father and both are awesome. They have information group sessions in their office, where you receive great information, and they also have monthly group support sessions lead by themselves and a nutritionist. My before, during, and after care have been wonderful so far. It has been a great, very positive experience for me. My friend also went to them in March and is also very happy with her experience/care. Good luck on your decision. PM me if you have any questions. Cindy
  9. I paid $175.00 for the psych evaluation, and $500.00 co-pay at the hospital which covers everything. Cindy
  10. Good for you :clap2: Keep up the great work! Cindy
  11. Purpose Driven, Hang in there, you can do it. You sound very determined and we'll be here for you. It's not easy for any of us, that's why we're here! Let us share this journey with you. Cindy
  12. It's such a personal decision to make. I am a very private person, so it is hard for me to be open about this. I didn't tell my parents because I know they would worry, and it coincided when my dad ended up having open heart surgery (3 weeks before my scheduled lap band). So I didn't feel the need to burden them. I told my husband, two daughters (19 and 22), one sister and about 3 friends. Maybe eventually I will tell, I'm not sure. I certainly don't want to lie. I think I will start off by saying that I am "dieting" when people start to notice. That won't exactly be a lie. It will just remain to be seen I guess. Cindy
  13. Oh my gosh Kitty, I'm right there with you. I had my surgery the 10th and I'm sitting here thinking "I did this to myself"? My discomfort is a little different, I don't have that bulge that feels like falling out, I have the burp feeling of pressure that is uncomfortable, the right shoulder pain, and overall discomfort of the stomac. I was wondering the same thing about returning to work on Monday. My surgery was last Thursday (today is day 4), and I'm scheduled to go back to work Monday. As of this moment, it doesn't seem likely. I really thought I would rebound a lot faster, as I have a high tolerance for pain and was up walking hours after the surgery. I hope it gets better soon. Good luck to you, too Cindy
  14. Hey Metalband. I was banded last Thursday at Norwood Hospital by Dr. Adam Glasgow. Good luck to everyone. PS my tummy is making weird noises, how embarassing. I know it is probably gas (cuz I'm not hungry), but I wish it were a lot quieter! Cindy
  15. Hi Maureen, I was banded at Norwood Hospital by Dr. Adam Glasgow on Thursday 5/10. So far, so good. I was walking around several hours after surgery. They ended up keeping me for two nights because they thought it looked "funky". So after my second barium swallow, I went for a catscan and everything is a ok! I say better safe than sorry. I wouldn't want to have to go back in a week, or month to have another surgery! Good luck everyone. Glad to be on the "bandwagon". Cindy
  16. End of Day 9 of the 10 day all liquid pre-op diet!! YAY!! Lap band surgery is the day after tomorrow. I'm SO excited. Thanks for listening. Cindy
  17. Krystal, You're doing awesome. I'm so proud of you for not giving up. We know it's hard, that's why we're all here. So keep up the great work, and keep letting us share this journey together with you. Cindy
  18. Hey, we're both to be banded the same day, 5/10. Can't wait, it is just 3 days away!! What I would give for a plain head of lettuce right now. I had a nightmare last night that I had a delicious filet mignon, I could even smell it. Sick, ha? Thank goodness for better than bouillion. Gotta run. Good luck. Cindy
  19. Hi Janette, I am doing it right now, not fun! Today is day 3 and I am hungry. A good broth I found is Better than Bouillion. I agree, it is not very filling. I am glad to see that someone else had to do the 10 day liquid fast. Thought I was the only one not having so much fun with it. I'm told it gets easier as the days go on though, perhaps my body will adjust. My friend went through this about a month ago (with my same surgeon), and she said by the end of about Day 3, things weren't so bad. Well, by now you are already banded, and hopefully doing great. Cindy
  20. Cheri52, Congratulations. So glad everything is going well for you. Keep us posted on how you are doing! Cindy
  21. Susaninnk Hi and welcome. Congratulations on your date. Mine is May 10. There's a bunch of us on the thread entitled May 2007 bandsters. Come on over! This is such an exciting journey we're starting. So glad to be a part of it!
  22. Krystal, Thanks for sharing your inspiring journey with us all. You have truly motivated me to get my rear in gear. I will be banded in exactly 16 days (yes, you betcha I'm counting)!!, and I wanted to start in right a way with my journey. I have now started back at the gym at my work. I try to do the elipticle 3 nights a week after work for 30 minutes. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I take dance classes with a friend for two hours each night. It's only been a week (the gym part), but I really do think I have more energy. In 6 days I have to start the liquid diet for 10 days, but for now, I'm just trying to eat healthy (and less portion). Keep up the great work, I am so proud of you!!
  23. Betsyjane, Cheers to that:clap2: ! Couldn't have said it better myself. Cindy
  24. Well, just want to add my two cents as well. I really enjoy this forum. I am not banded yet, so I feel I've learned "alot" from other people's experiences. For medical advice, obviously I'd go to my doctor. For practical, everyday information, questions, recipes, or just good old support and mutual words of encouragement, it's a great place. It's also a nice feeling knowing that you're not going through a tough journey alone. On that note, I hope Dislexi finds what he/she is looking for. Sounds like an unhappy person to me.
