What Are You Looking Forward To?
**Not having to say I''m sorry when I try to squeeze past someone in a narrow aisle, and end up bumping into them **shopping for bras online that have the size cup I wear **Being able to sit up in in bed without having to rock my body up so I can hoist my legs over the edge to create ensure momentum to get out of the bed successfully. **Keeping my floors clean because it's not a major aerobics exercise to bend over to pick up things **after a blind date when I am told there's no chemistry, NOT wondering if it's really because I am morbidly obese. **Not having to describe myself on Match. Com as being "full figured." ** ** never having to shop in the Avenue or Lane Bryant. and being forced to buy polyester instead of silks and and rayon. Being able to sit directly on the floor to meditate in satsang. Throwing out my pair of $ 200 custom orthotics because my Feet no longer hurt. **No longer having to order shoes in double wide. Being strong enough to keep up on a 5 mile Sierra Club hike And lastly, enjoy inhabiting my new body. and feeling proud of my hard work.

Candida And Carb Cravings?
Wow thank you so much for your head up on candida and surgery. I did a little investigation and discovered how critical it can be. Most western physicians don't understand canada unless there is an infection after surgery. Unfortunately they give an -ozole drug which just stops the symptoms but doesn't kill the fungus. Why is it is diagnosed I'll go on a round of probiotics, fungus killers and a low carb diet. I am relieved to know this could be a problem so that I can take action.

Candida And Carb Cravings?
Does anyone own these boards think they may have candida? I Suspect I do because I crave carbs everyday, Am fatigued and have depression as well as brain fog and poor concentration. I am not going to go into detail about candida treatment other than to say that a food plan limitng carbohydrates is highly encouraged. This reminds me of the post up food plans.

After 6+ Months Out, Is Losing Weight, And Maintaining Weight, Harder Or Easier?
I am wondering after the initial weight drop-- say about 6 months out --is losing weight for you easier than it was before your operation? Or, for any of you, did it feel as if you are on a diet again? I read on the forums that people talk about their weight creeping back up. Since I am no saint, it could happen to me also. How do you define vsg as a " tool? " Does it give you a head start on your weight loss for 6 months before normal hunger returns? Many of us on the boards and I include myself have an eating disorder..... binge eater or overeater. I understand ahead of time that the hard emotional work connected with food obssession and cravings must be done. By Using the method of intuitive eating I have maintained my obese weight for about 3 years. I have not tried to diet in that time. Naturally getting to my pre surgery go weight on a food plan is quite a shock to my system. I Get closer everyday. Some days I am sure I want to proceed and other days I cannot imagine Feeling this hungry in the future.

Less Need For Antidepressant In Post-Ops?
If you were taking anti depressants pre-op, have you found less need for the medicines post op? This does not include changes from XR to Regular absorption meds, or a change in your medicine schedule. But, have you felt less depressed after surgery? I know it's possible PO to feel a let down 6-12 months out, and am not really talking about that either. . I gained 50# in the throws of my depression, probably from carb craving that comes when I am depressed. Yet I was taking medication, too. Hard to get a straight answer from the medical field about to what extent anti depressants provoke weight gain, so I am turning for answers to my VSG buddies. Naturally you may have guessed I take antidepressant medication pre-op. Not counting the mood lift and feeling the thrill of being thin (which could wear off once the reality day to day of living sets in 2-3 years out), I am hoping to take less anti depressants when I am years out as well. What is your experience? Does anyone have research sources about this topic?
