Ok Im not liking these responses. I wish i read this before surgery. Im so bummed about this. Id like to be able to have an appropriate balanced meal and it doesnt look like it will ever happen. Will i ever even be able to have a salad. This is just depressing. I can see why so many wls become alcoholics.

Kinny mom u will be able to eat again. I haven't had much of a problem. I'm two months out and can eat veggies, chicken etc. I make healthier choices and eat Protein first. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I'm now averaging a loss of 4 lbs a week since being off liquids and I feel great! The first month is rough, hang in there.

Anyone have any tips on how to get the weight to start coming off. I expected at least 20 lbs the first month. If its not coming off now imagine when i start to eat regular food.< /p>

I was sleeved 6/20 and am losing slow... Im a bit depressed about being that i eat so little, smh

I could only eat Clear Liquids the first week.

Lexapro comes in liquid form.

Hi all-
I'm 5 days post op and the pain is not too bad. My one complaint is my ovaries hurt! Esp the left one. Is it possible for the remaining gas to settle low in the belly and put pressure on the ovaries? It's Monday and I.will call the office. It's my main source of discomfort. I've been very lucky to not have had any discomfort as of yet with the swallowing of liquids. I am so ready for some nourishment and to move on to the next stage.

I was sleeved on the 20th also and although i do feel bettter i still feel like s$&t! I can say i was def not prepared for this, at the moment i have big regrets. At this point all i can do is hope it gets better and regret fades. A 1 1/2 surgery took over 4 hours, dr said he almost didnt think he could do it. My stomach was a mess from previous band, i wish he chose to back out and not do it. Nurses at the hospital were terrible! And i work for the hospital. No body ever got me up anything i did was by myself! I thought id have support and i dont. Boyfriend was supposed to stay with me for the weekend but went MIA. Im depressed cant stand having to chew my nasty meds and being on liquids and not being able to eat since monday sucks! Im afraid my sleeve is goingto leak and im going to die! Im bored out of my mind and dont know what to do with myself. Sorry for the rant im just so damn miserable.

Well I made ot out! SURGEY WAS.longer.than expected.due to scar tissue from band. The pain is Def tolerable, thought I would be worse

So my day is finally here, i scared as hell and cant wait for it to be over! Positive energy and thought for a speedy and not so painful recovery
Surgery is at 10 and i have to be there at 8.

Thank you for your post. I'm struggling with the having the sleeve also. I think i can fool myself into thinking I can do this on my own. Good luck to you on your journey to the new you

Hi I wanted to hear from people that have been sleeved over 2 years. Wanted to know how you are feeling? Any regrets? Aside from eating do hou feel and function as you did before being sleeved? Im scheduled for surgery on 6/20 my mind changes from day to day. Im not sure if i am just nervous or unsure of having surgey. I had the band for three years then removed last summer. Since then i have gained 50 lbs back and am miserable. My current weight is 225 and im 5'1and am looking to be a more ideal weight for my size. Any info would be great.
