  1. What happens if you drink when it happens?
  2. Boooo to negative feedback! Do what is right for you
  3. Me too! I try to look at it as it will happen when it is suppose to but I am getting impatient
  4. 2 weeks? that seems like a long time!
  5. Yay! I thought everyone would be June. I am so glad someone else is in July. Soon as you find out your date let me know, we can be bandster buddies
  6. My tentative surgery date is July 23rd because of my work schedule. It may change by a week but it looks like I'm gonna be a July baby. Anyone else out there that will be banded in July?
  7. I had the same thing happen, but instead of another $2500 sleep study my doctor gave me an autotitration unit. It measure at home without the expensive second study.
  8. thats awesome! You have so much determination you will for sure hit your goal weight in no time! Enjoy the ride
  9. I have had doubting thoughts as I am still in the pre-op stage. It is great to hear enthusiasm and encourages me to continue the process. Thank you for sharing!
  10. I totally understand and was feeling the same way in month 2-3. I almost gave up because I would have all these negative thoughts. Don't let it get to you, baby steps. I read a quote on here that helped me..."don't focus so much on the end, fall in love with the journey." Think of where you will be in 6 months if you don't pursue it. Keep at it and stay on here it is a great place to get support.
  11. Congratulations! big smiles!
  12. So excited for you all! I am waiting until July wonk wonk but with work schedules I don't have much of a choice. Keep us all updated!
  13. I have BCBS of TX they use to have a 6 month pre-op diet but changed it in Feb 2012. I have to have nutrition counseling, psych eval, doctors blessing, over 40 BMI or over 35 with 2 co-morbidities. My plan will cover 90% in network at a blue distinction center.
  14. Ugh I can so relate to you! I got all my stuff in and done last week, just waiting on paperwork from psych eval. My surgery coordinator is on vacation this week and won't be back to submit anything until the 29th. Waiting for extra things to be done even before insurance submittable is frustrating. I try to look at it as it will all happen the way it suppose to. hang in there!
  15. Eek! I hope I don't screwed with a big extra cost. I know my doctor has already done 50 plications so I wonder if he already has enough for a study. I still plan to pay for it, because for me it is worth it. I'm afraid I will fail the band and the plication gives me the extra comfort.
  16. My insurance did require it and then it changed in so hopefully the process will go faster. You have a great attitude and that alone will get you where you want to be,
  17. I am opting for the band with plication. The plication acts as a sleeve with the security of the band. It is still a new procedure but many I have talked to love it! It may be an alternative.
  18. Haha no kidding! I think they are capitalizing on it since so many are wanting plication.
  19. I watched it on 20/20 too and it scared me! I was reconsidering surgery after I watched that.
