  1. Welcome Moses from Colorado! I am currently doing my 6 month pre-op diet wishing it would go by faster hehe! This site is amazing, very supportive and informative
  2. Stick with it, you have plenty of support here!
  3. I like the way you think good luck with your surgery and keep us updated!
  4. I know the liquids will be rough but I am trying to mentally prepare now. What kind of liquids are you on?
  5. That is awesome to know I appreciate it. I am currently looking at Dr. Snyder in Denver but we may be moving to Houston! It is nice to know that there is someone down in Texas doing it
  6. I'm going to have to check that out. It sounds likea great option!
  7. That is amazing! Who did your surgery?
  8. I went to my first seminar yesterday and got all jazzed up for the lapband. One thing that threw me off was the option of plication with lapband. It sounds great, like an upgrade that causes more restriction with no cutting. Has anyone had this done?
  9. I am going to my first seminar tomorrow. The initial program I looked into wouldnt even let me attend a seminar until I had 4months of pre-op diet under my belt. I am switching to a center a little further away because they seem to be more organized and will let me attend a seminar this weekend. I am in the 3rd month of my pre-op diet so I am at the beginning as well. The one thing I have learned so far is be your own advocate! Make your own decisions about this surgery and doctors that you want (if you have a choice). Good luck and keep in touch, maybe we will get banded around the same time!
  10. That is riduculous! I am sorry to hear your doctor is being that way. I would find another doc that puts my health and consideration first!
  11. That is awesome, I'm excited for you! I still have 3 months until I'm in your shoes
  12. Awesome, thanks! I hope to stay here for six more months and have it done in Denver but we will see. I will check into Dr. Balette for sure!
  13. Thanks Debbie! I can't believe you just had it done and you are recovering so quickly, thats amazing! I am so anxious to get the ball going I have lost sight of preparing myself. Thanks for the words of encouragement!
  14. Congrats on your weight loss that's awesome! It is encouraging to hear that the time will pick up. I am attending a lapband seminar this weekend in hopes of being encouraged When are you getting banded?
  15. You have point all I want to do is go go go! Maybe we will be banded around the same time! It would be nice to have a cohort of bandsters so to speak
  16. Thanks, I will do that! Now to find a doc in the Houston area!
  17. I am currently in my 3rd month of my pre-op diet (for insurance purposes) and may be moving out of state before I hit the six month mark. I am concerned that transferring doctors may cause insurance to deny me. Has anyone experienced this or know what will happen? Ugh, worried...
  18. Geez i can't wait to get to your weight lol Good luck, I'm sure everything will turn out just fine
  19. Sleep test is a breeze just time consuming (hooking up the wires took about 30mins). It isn't painful you just get sticky! Some sleep study clinics take a while to get an appointment so call ASAP. I did mine 3 weeks ago and they haven't even gotten the results in yet geez. Oh and have your doc prescribe a sleep aid because the wires and different environment make it difficult to fall asleep. Good luck!
