  13. @cookies I like your list. I am going to get broth, premier protein, crystal light, and Gatorade. I didn't know they had sugar free. I wonder if I could add unflavored protein to the Gatorade.

  15. Hi All, I've been lurking around the forums for about one month. I just thought about all of the things I have purchased over the past couple months. I am scheduled for June 15th with Dr. Elariny in Fairfax Hospital. I thought it would be fun to share some of the things you have purchased to prepare for surgery. I know my taste will change after surgery but I can't help myself plus I will not have a lot of support from family as they are pretty far away so decided its good to have some choices. I know there is already a thread on what you should purchase. But please feel to share what you purchased. This is what I have so far. I am trying to stop and I will unless you have something really good that I have to buy. lol. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup (canister) Unjury non flavored Protein (canister) Pantry selections pudding variety pack Pantry selections cream of broccoli soup Pantry selections cream of mushroom soup Protein Jello nectar Protein 14 sample pack Nectar Protein peach protein (tub) Pure whey Protein Shot Isopure Pure Protein 4 pack liquid Multivitamin Protein shaker Gas X strips

  17. I read on another page it might be stomach acid. Are you taking an antacid. Some doctors have you take them for three months after surgery.
  18. Bodybuilder, yeah I so get that. Lol.
  19. I am fairly active now at 260 lbs as I pretty much walk about a mile or so a day. I used to work at a gym many years ago before I had kids. I haven't exercised in a couple weeks but I could go to the gym and do the elliptical for 40 minutes with no problem. I think that's my problem. When I go the gym I feel like I have to be challenged and then slowly but surely life either gets in the way and I fall off. I don't want to set myself up for failure. If I go all out like I normally do will I ruin things if I stop. By the way I am a mother, work full time and go to graduate school at night.
  20. As a person with an addictive personality I have one of the most illogical fears. I have a very sporatic relationship with exercise and I have failed so miserably time and time again.. What if I start exercising again like I always do and lose a ton of weight and then stop. will I gain it all back even with the sleeve. I am too afraid to start this cycle but I want to lose weight. Do I have to exercise like crazy to lose weight with the sleeve? Anyone else have this fear?
  21. You go to the facility which has several bedrooms. The sleep technician hooks you up to a ton of electrodes and then you go to sleep. You are advised to not nap so you can get some sleep. If the study is split night you will stay overnight two nights or half of the night you will sleep with no mask(cpap) and the other half with the cpap. I did not have apneas until I was in Rem sleep which didn't leave enough time for the cpap mask. I had to go two nights. They put a gunky creme in my head to get the electrodes to register. Overall no biggie but not the most restful sleep as it was an unfamiliar place. Good luck.
