  1. Thanks Caroline! I'll have to try that! At this point I'll try anything!
  2. That is a great idea...wish I had thought of it!
  3. This added to the Fluid intake in the first week after surgery when fluid intake is more important than worrying about protein intake. sugar free Popsicles vary in size so how I found out how much fluid my brand of Popsicle had in it was I melted one in the microwave in a glass measuring cup, removed the stick and viola..mine were 1/4 cup of fluid..so 4 equaled 1 cup of fluid. I got my protein needs from
  4. No you aren't the only one...my periodontist also gave me a steroid cream to use on my gums...you may want to see a periodontist in addition to your regular dentist....I have no Vitamin deficiency at all...so check into it ASAP...gum disease is nothing to mess with... It can cause heart infections and if you are female...and you are pregnant ..it can contribute to preterm delivery.
  5. Thanks OTR...it's really very weird...the gums on the outside next to my cheek are ulcerated above the gum line..brushing is a hurtful event but I do it anyway..I am a huge fanatic over my teeth...now here's where it gets weird...my gums that are on the inside where my tongue is...are freaking fabulous..normal as can be...so off to shave off some gum tissue I go! I feel really weird...well..that isn't a stretch ..at least I am healthier! Well ..except the gums..but we will get them fixed...maybe unless it is autoimmune and that I just have to live with!
  6. Great to hear..and remember ...on here ..you're never alone!!
  7. I had posted I was having problems with my gums..well it has progressed and may be an autoimmune disorder...so this may or may not be coincidental with the sleeve...I have a gum biopsy Monday...so we shall see ...the periodontist feels the stress to the body the sleeve created ..weight loss, the surgery itself ..could have made the disorder appear...oh well...this will be managed and I still will be healthier for it.
  8. sugar free popsicles helped me meet my goals and What OTR said.
  9. Good Luck everyone!! You are about to start a new life! Sleep well...and remember my mantra...this to shall pass...it gets better and better everyday!!!
  10. Don't be scared! Good luck to you both!
  11. I can finally tolerate yogurt! I tried the Yoplait 100 calorie Greek Yogurt and I didn't have to get on the BM train to Crapsville!!!! This is an awesome day! Just because you get severe lactose intolerance after surgery doesn't mean you will have it forever ...your new tummy may decide to start making lactase again!!!! Mine did!
  12. I did...I would check with your doctor to make sure your B1 level isn't low. I was given a B1 shot. And it stopped for awhile. B1 is different thanB12. However, I would check with my doctor just to be sure it's not your heart, lungs, etc, etc, ...good luck!!
  13. Sure...I didn't feel like it...but I definitely could have.
  14. I think I will boil them too!
  15. The closest store is 2 1/2 hours away..so I have to go next month anyway to this town for follow-up...so I will definitely try only 1 bag!!!
