  1. My doctor said no lifting over 10lbs or strenuous activities for 4 weeks.
  2. I use the unflavored protein and put it in soup. You can put it is anything you drink and make it protein. So far, so good. I get it from unjury. Unjury also has a chicken soup protein powder that's really good.
  3. I also eat throughout the day. I asked my dad, who is a doctor about this and he said that it is best to eat about 6 small meals a day as opposed to 3 large meals. It keeps your metabolism boosted and is healthier for you. As long as you are eating proteins, low fat, low carbs and stay away from the sugars you should be good to go.
  4. Apple sauce, yogurts, scrambled eggs, refrained beans, soups you can blend
  5. That was supposed to say no one said a thing
  6. I never slept on my back after surgery. As soon as I got out of recovery I curled up on my side and I one said a thing. It was never an issue.
  7. Anyunghaseyo. Hello in Korean. Good luck with it. My husband, kids and I just got back to the states in December from a two year tour in Korea. It's such a hard language to learn because things have many different meanings. I have faith you will do fine.
  8. I feel blessed to have nothing but support from people. I didn't care one way or the other because I did this for me but it feels good to know I have a support system. I gotta say though, one friend came to visit me the day of surgery and she came in eating nachos and Chinese food. I felt that was a bit insensitive but it's life. People are always going to be eating around me. I can't stop the world just because I have weight to lose.
  9. I made a pot of pinto beans and ate about 4 bites. Then an hour later I'm hungry again. I've been sticking to proteins though. I really want something sweet so I had a sugar free Popsicle.
  10. Today I feel like I could eat every 2 hours. I feel like a bottomless pit. On the upside, I've only been eating protein and haven't even come close to my caloric allowance for the day. But dang, hated days like this prior to surgery and am not liking that I'm having it today.
  11. Omg isopure is so disgusting. I can't even choke it down. I bought a container of the vanilla and today I went out and bought stuff to add to it cuz its just that bad. Body fortress is pretty good. I got the chocolate peanut butter. You can get it at Walmart and is way cheaper than isopure
  12. I was sleeved 4/2/12 and am already down 22lbs.
  13. Thank you everyone. Gramaof4, im actually very anxious to start the water aerobics here. As soon as these incisions heal, im so there. lol I walk a lot during the day but I want to increase my activity.
  14. Thank you everyone.
  15. Uh every time I lay down it feels like someone is squeezing my stomach and twisting it. It hurts so bad and wakes me up every night. Anyone else have that feeling? On a brighter note, I'm 9 days post op and down 20lbs.
  16. Wow, today I have been getting them as well and my nose is running. I'm gonna take that as my sign im full. They are annoying. lol
  17. You are welcome and I would say no on the rice. It expands in the belly and could cause you to leak. I would stick to the soft foods, liquids and mushy foods if your doctor allows. Solid foods like rice really aren't allowed until 4 weeks out or so.
  18. You can try tofu. It's high in protein as well as Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is an acquired taste. Tofu is bland. You have to find recipes for it to make it have some taste. It's not bad though.
  19. Thank you everyone for your words of wisdom
  20. Hang in there girl. When you least expect it, that scale is going to move again. I know easier said than done but I have faith it will move again for you. Just try to really increase your proteins just a little more or as I heard another person say, drink a cup of decaf coffee. It has a laxative effect. lol ]
  21. I refuse to eat mashed potatoes because of the amount of carbs they have in them as opposed to the amount of proteins. They dont really equal each other out in a good way. I like the greek yogurt as well. I just eat the plain though and Breakstone low fat cottage cheese has 11 grams of protein in just 4oz plus it tastes good to me. I had 2oz of it tonight and was really full.
