  1. Congrats...hope you feel great soon!!
  2. Wow i really dont know what to say to that!! It seems like that should be routine. I had one after my surgery and even got to see my new little stomach on the screen!!
  3. That is soo great. I am 10 days post op and have been really doing good...but this morning i wanted my normal breakfast soooo bad i cried. My normal breakfast was a 3 pound burrito from the mexican restraunt down the street consisting of beans, eggs, cheese and chip rolled in a huge tortilla. So reading this really made me think..i dont have to eat that way anymore!! Thank you.
  4. I have a Wii and have the EA sports active which comes with resistence bands. You can choose upper body or lower body work outs that are low impact and really helpful.
  5. I had my Sleeve done 3/28/11 and was at the park walking my dog that Friday...oh i did walk around the block Thursday and now i am full steam ahead. My mom came and stayed with me and i really only needed her those 1st 2 days after surgery. Good luck with everything. The Sleeve is the best decision I have ever made!!
  6. i start on purees Wednesday. I can't wait because i am sick of liquid! thank you ladies for all the recipe ideas!
  7. I am feeling wonderful today. I walked my dog to the park yesterday and we are going again today!! I have been having problems with TV commercials getting to me, but then I think to myself...that kind of food is what got me this way, why would i want to go back!! So i am determined to live my new life with a new way of thinking about food!!
  8. Awww God bless you BJ. You have made the right decision. I wish i woulda taken hold of my life when I was your age. Actually i didn't hit the 200s until i was in my 30s but i kept telling myself i would lose it dieting...ha ha ha! I would lose and gain more. My surgery is next Monday the 28th. I feel like you do..if i lose weight on a diet, i will gain it all back like i have in the past. So this surgery is the ultimate tool. Good luck to you.
  9. WOW!! No my preop is not that strict. It's lots of lean meat and green vegis, very few starches and carbs...no sweets!! I have to be on a liquid diet 24 hours before surgery.
  10. Thanks ILKrista, yes it will be a lot easier dealing with it before instead of afterwards!! I am a carb junkie!! I know I am going to be okay..Just be glad when the surgery is behind me!
  11. It wasn't 2 whole burgers...its was just double meat double cheese LOL!! No just kidding!! Thank you for your response. I think I will be okay. I am eating lean meat like turkey. Its just the low carb thing I'm having a problem with. I love bread!! But I am going to try harder!! I am really looking forward to my surgery. It seems like the hours are going by so slow but I know it will be here before I know it!
  12. My name is Molly. I have hit 253 lbs and decided it is time to do something about it. I am scheduled for VSG on March 28th. I was asked to do a PreOP diet and it is not going well. I originally wanted to do the Gastric Plication but changed my mind today. Is it really going to matter if I mess up my pre Op diet? I have no health issues besides being overweight. I am really nervous and excited at the same time. I have not been thin since i was in Jr High. Now I am at my heaviest weight ever. I have done every diet on the planet, I lose weight and then gain it all back plus more.
  13. I would love a copy of your book. I am scheduled for surgery March 28, 2011. mizzm2269@gmail.com
