CONGRATS Carol! So glad everything is going so well, look forward to meeting you soon! Take it easy, even if you feel great, no need to go past your limits to find out where that limit is, just take some time to baby yourself and your band. Sue

What is your current fill in your 4cc band?
I've been told a 4cc band actually holds about 5cc (Sorry for this guys...but) Girls, do you notice a big difference when TOM comes along. I was about to go for another fill, but with this TOM I really have to work to get things down. I'm at about 3.3 in a 4cc band, seems perfect for me...except for TOM!

Hey all... Who's heading to the St Joes meeting tonight? The Plastic Surgeon is gong to be there...I'm really looking forward to hearing what he's got to say. I think I will hit the mall before, maybe a little dinner and a walk (though I already walked this AM, a little extra certainly won't hurt). Anybody want to join me?

100!!!! HAPPY...HAPPY, JOY...JOY!!! It's my 100 pound day!!! It's been such a good day! I finally dropped that one last lb to hit 100...my scales has been torturing me at 99.5 for days!!! It was my Bible Study day so I got to share it this morning with some really good friends, they are so supportive, and I was wearing my size 12 pants for the 1st time! Then I had a dental cleaning and my dentist gave me free teeth whitening ($450) as a congrats gift. People have been asking me all day if I'm at my goal weight (they can't see my thighs with my jeans on...LOL). I had dinner out with DH (so the scale might not say 100 tomorrow...oh well), and it's just been a great day. There's so often that we (at least I do) come on-line to gripe, so I just had to share my great day! Hope you all had a great Valentines Day too! Sue

Mer... How exciting! (In an Ouch kind of way) You are going to look so fabulous! I'm not sure what your DH is like, but i don't know that I would really be too upset if my DH was gone post-op. He's great with helping around the house and with the kids, but sometimes he can make me a little nuts when I want to rest and he's running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Oh well, he is very helpful, just not very good with "sick" people, girlfriends are so much more nurturing and compassionate. Sue

OK, this is too funny. It's so timely that we've been talking about PS 'cause I have a story from yesterday (if there's any guys our there, sorry, I know this is TMI) I had my mammo yesterday. The tech opend my gown, took one look at me and said "just a minute, I'll be right back" She left the room, came back in and asked "have you lost alot of weight?" I smiled and said ya, but I knew where she was headed. She said, "I have you down as needing the large size film, but the small will do just fine." How depressing!!! LOL Though I would not trade it back for the weight, I sure do miss my boobs (DH does too)! LOL Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too! But I guess you can have your boobs and eat cake!!! Thank God for padded Bras!!! A very "deflated" Sue

Extra skin...???
The only way that I know of that the surgery is covered by insurance if for medical neccessity, such as rashes, skin infections etc..., but it is possible.

Fast Food Question....
I totally agree withthe Wendy's Chili, I like it with sour cream. A small chili with reduced-fat SC is 270 Calories and 18 grams protien, and is so satisfying! Re-fried Beans and Soups are others I look for. I like to get McDonald's snack wrap (grilled chicken), but I don't eat the tortilla. McD's apples with carmel sauce (lowfat) is only 105 calories if your looking for a sweet treat, it's like a yummy little 100 calory pack, but it's fresh, sweet and nutritious (don't forget to chew, chew and chew some more!).

I sure hope I can find someone more reasonable, I dno't want to go cheap...you get what you pay for, but I don't need a $25,000 body. I'm in my 40's and it pretty much down hill (gravity assisted) from here on out, but I think I could see paying around $10-12K for "improvments". Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ya know! Unfortunatly for me, my issues are in the lower body, butt & legs, which seems to be more pricey than if it's just a tummy tuck. I guess you "apples" have and advantage over us "pears" in that respect...skinny limbs.

Mer... That'ss the exact surgery I would be concidering...lower body & boobs...are you kidding!?! $25,000!?!?!!? That's not going to happen. Oh well...I guess I will just droop. let me know if you get any more info. Sue

For the ticker...I just click on it the ticker and it opens the tickerfactory window where you can edit, put in the password and update the ticker. Does a great job of keeping track of weight loss, brings me encouragement when I feel things are dragging. Pinenut... Love to see you again at support group, St Joe's is the 3rd Monday at 6:45. I think St Francis is the 2nd Tuesday at 12:00(?), chick the st francis web site to be sure. Laura (St Joes) is having a plastic surgeon in to speak in February...I'm really looking forward to hearing what he has to say. Sue

Mer... We missed you last night! Wendy & I both commented that we ment to give you a call. About the TT...Go for it! get rid of that extra skin and you'll probably be at your goal weight. What a great problem to have...when to have your TT. I walked past a mirror on a bar in my swimsuit (well, I closer to running...stuck nachos) and I caught a glimps of my thighs flapping in the wind...ugh! Those suckers have got to GO!!! Phyl... We did watch the game on board. They showed the game in a small "pub" on the ship, so a bunch of us squeezed in, watching, cheering, eating fish & chips & lots of good natured rivalry with both Seahawk & packer fans in the house. It was really fun...even if the outcome stunk DH and I are planning a superbowl/cruise reunion party (to share pictures etc...) just wish it was a Seahawk Superbowl

We got home last night from our cruise...We had a fabulous time. It was even better when I got on the scale this morning and i had gained less than 2#'s!!! I ate myself silly evevery night (the 16 of us had dinners together each night...som much fun, I totally enjoyed myself...including multiple desserts most evey night) It's so great to know that some day I will be able to eat "normal" and will be able to maintain my weight loss. i thought for sure that I would have gained 5+++ #'s the way I was eating...I am very encouraged that this will work for the long run...I love my band!!! Sue PS...highlights...a massage on the beach, parasailing and so much more...i never would have done those things at 270+

Phyl... We get on the plane in the AM for LA. Friday we get on the boat and cruise to Acapolco and make our way up the Mexican Coast. Last time I looked it was 90+. I'm so excited. I'm not afraid of the plane ride or the beach...it sure feels GOOD! I may not be pretty in a bathing suit (yet), but at least I'm not ashamed and exbarassed anymore. It sure feels good to be more normal. Talk to you all in 10 days!!! Sue

Hey Mer... Glad to hear the car's fixed. The classes sound great, you're going to have a blast. Some day I'll have time to do some of that too. My daughter & I watched a Project Runway show where they had women who had lost significant weight as their models. They brought in their favorite "fat" outfit & the designer had to remake it for thier new figure. It was funny 'cause that morning I altered at least a dozen garmets...trying to get ready for my cruise next week. Speaking of the cruise (I'm so excited...I feel like a little kid before Christmas) I've been shopping, and I can't believe how easy it is to buy clothes. In my obese days I bought pretty much anything that fit, now there are so many things that fit...so many choices! I used to hate shpping, now it's fun! This could be a problem, I can realy see the potential for trasfer adiction...yikes!
