My prayers are with all June 15 sleevers! I have started the preop diet today! Game on!

Officially on the losers bench! Feel like its the first day of my new life!
Went in yesterday around noonish and i think I woke up around 2ish. Woke with no pian and haven't had any pain meds yet. Did have some gas issues over night and haven't been able to lay on my left side. I've been walking the halls and sleeping. Ready for some ice chips !!
I think were having the leak test today!

Sitting in the pre-op bed waiting for my IV. So excited but sure ready for a nap, lol.

Also, prayers for a good recovery of those that had surgery today.

That's why my date is June 29. I can take off anytime, but that's my husband's week off and he can just take a couple of days off before vacation then go back after his regular week off. I am excited this is actually about to happen! Dreading this darn preop thing though!

I am on day two of my unofficial preop diet. I am not supposed to start until Thursday, but I thought I would get a jump in it. Dumb! I am truly struggling already... I will push though, but it is tough.

Thank you so much Robin33 for all the hard work you are doing keeping up with the lists!!! We all really appreciate it.

Whew, I'm ready to go too! Less than 48 hours!

Holy crap, my name is on there finally. As weird as this sounds .... that just reminded me it's really happening finally .... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!

prayers and positive thought for all of those having surgery tomorrow. Will be thinking of you all through out the day!

Don't apologize. You take care of you and worry about you first. Checking in is great so that we know how you and everyone else who checks in is doing, I personally would rather you be okay and ready to check in and post when you're ready. No rush.

I'm home. I had some complications from surgery, I also had a mesh put in for hernia and scar tissue removal, but my surgeon wanted me in another day so I just got home this afternoon.
I walked a lot and sipped a lot and no matter what getting rid of the gas was not easy. it seems my kidneys and intestines didn't want to wake up.
The upper gi with the gastrique or whatever it's called was the worst experience for me. My nurses and na's were absolutely wonderful though.
Sipping slowly is important, trying to get all the fluids in is a bit hard, but I'm sipping and walking.
Day of Surgery 229 - Today 235. Oh gotta love it, but I'm really quite swollen I just got my iv out this morning and just stated passing gas yesterday and my first real bm was today, so it will be a while.
I get start full liquids on Monday, which I was shocked about. I was told 2 weeks of clears, but that made me happy. Binders are great. Walking is so important. I was on 3 different antinausea medications at once, and I even went home with a new patch, plus I have a prescription for another which is awesome. I get the drain out on Wednesday.
Sorry I couldn't check in from hospital.
Hoping all that have been sleeved in June are doing great, and best of Luck to all of next week's sleevers.

At first I did a lot of crying, but the food addict in me is thinking about having a final hurrah when I recover and then back to a low carb Atkins thing so I don't balloon up. Honestly, I am just glad to have that horrible piece of junk out and am on my way to healing. It's a longer journey than I expected, but what can I do?

That's why we all call it the crap band, now. :-)

I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I am glad, for your safety, that they stopped the surgery. It could have been catastrophic. I am praying that you get another date soon. Keep us posted.

Hey Y'all! Had surgery on Monday and I am so BLESSED!!! My doc was able to do my revision as well!! WhooHoo!!! I don't have to go back in August to get sleeved!!!!
He said everything went really well, if long. I went in about 10:30 and made the recovery room (which I have no memory of!) about 1/1:15-ish. I did bleed enough for him to mention it but nothing overtly worrying. He was a little surprised was all. Said I had very little scar tissue so doing the revision was a no-brainer for him and he was happy to do it.
Monday night was a little rough. I went too long between pain med doses and got in to a little too much pain/uncomfortablness with it. My BP spiked up to 168/115 and to say my nurse wasn't happy is an understatement. When she checked me again 2 hrs later, after the pain meds had kicked in, I was back in a good place again.
Tuesday was good, drank my 2 oz of shake for Breakfast and again for lunch. Then they went ahead and gave me more at dinner since it was taking so long for the pharmacy to process my Rxs to go home. Didn't finish it b/c my wheelchair arrived and it was time to go home!
Long trip home. An hour. In a 4x4 on big tires and cruddy mtn roads. Took more pain meds and went to bed! Slept well. Had some nausea this morning and dry-heaved for a bit. Called in and got an Rx for nausea. Hubby went and got that for me and I've been fine since.
Getting ready to head to bed in a bit. My kindergartener has "graduation" in the morning and I think I'll be up for it! Very happy about that! I'll be doped up but I'll be there!!!
So that's it in a nutshell. So glad to be on the other side of it all.

The last day of my 14 day pre op! Hallelujah!!!!!

Hey all!! Just checking in! I am officially half way through my pre-op diet!!!!!!!!!! Today has been a great day I heard from most people I talk with that day 3/4 are the hardest, and so far that is true, but not in the same way I was expecting. I was thinking it was going to be that those were the day where I'd want to cheat the most, but they were the days where I could barely choke down my shakes. Yesterday I even skipped my last shake because I just couldn't do it. I've learned that last shake has to be something lighter...I've been using the nectar sample packets I bought and mixing them with Crystal Light Lemonade. Just can't do that 5th milk based shake. I also tried the Ensure Clear premade drinks, and they are decent. I think they may be good while I'm on clears to get some nutrients and Protein in!
