  1. Wow! You look great! I'm coming up on scheduling my surgery, but I am scared to death. I hope I don't chicken out. Stories like yours are the ones that give me hope to do this. Congrats again! You look fabulous!

Don't chicken out!!!! The decision to have surgery was the best decision that I have ever made for myself. I just wish I would have done it sooner. As of today I am down 48lbs honestly, I haven't measured myself since preop and feel fabulous! I was sleeved 4/26 and was driving 4/30. I had a great recovery and have had nothing but smooth sailing. Good luck to you. This is best place to gain info, support, recipes and ideas!

  2. I was sleeved april 13th and definitely losing a lot of hair now. I have baby fine thin hair to begin with so I'm totally gonna be bald soon!

I can totally relate! My hair bass been falling out for the past couple of weeks. My hair is thin and done to begin with. I'm trying not to stress out about it but it has always been a sensitive subject. Still, I am so happy with my sleeve. Best thing I have ever done for myself. food luck to you.

  3. Happy to say that the scale finally is moving, moving slowly but it is moving!!!

    Was sleeved on 4/26

    starting weight 216

    current weight 178

    wl 38 lbs!!!

I have never lost more than 20 with any of the MANY diets I've been on. I can finally say that I weigh the same as I did in high school. Here's to the next 40 or 50 lbs!!!

  4. Sleeved on 4/26..I lost 10 lbs preop and 15lbs since surgery. I have been at a stall for over a week and definitely getting frustrated. I know I should be happy with a 25lb weight loss but I can't help but wonder if my body is acting in starvation mode. Fortunately, I really do not get hungry anymore, however, I'm wondering if I'm eating enough. I def do not get in the recommended 64 oz of Water. Any suggestions?

  5. Hey everyone - I was sleeved on April 10!! I spent 1 night in the hospital. I am home resting now. Not too many complaints, but my belly feels very sore. Nausea has been a little bit of an issue, but I have some good meds. Slide over on that losers bench and make room for me!!!

Congrats on your sleeve. I love your positive attitude. I'll be sleeved on April 26th and I'll need some room on that bench too! Good luck

  6. I agree with Lisa that everyone having some kind of surgery gets nervous and thinks "what if". I am having surgery on the 26th and I can't say those things haven't run through my mind too. Just say positive and honestly, I have found that reviewing this site has helped me quite a bit. Hearing everyone success stories, ideas and dos and don'ts has been really informative. Good luck to you.

  7. Hi All, just worked out how to reply!! I'm getting my surgery on 26 April here in Scotland, UK (hence my name VSGlass - only way I could remember what I'd called myself!) I go on my pre-op diet on Monday 16 April but I've been given a diet sheet to follow. Nearly there...!

Hi, I have the same surgery date!!! I'm am really excited. Good luck to you!

  8. Congrats on your decision, Ruperto! It was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I was sleeved on 12/31/2011, and as of today, I have lost 80 lbs (some it was during my preop diet). I feel great! You will be too in no time at all! Again, congrats!!

Thank you! Congrats to you on your 80lb weight loss! That is amazing. I am very optimistic about the surgery and honestly can't wait for it. I am nervous however, about the first couple of weeks but I know that I will get thru it.
