  1. May 15th here. I am down a total of 57 lbs. I exercise daily but I know that I should work out more. It is so nice to be able to buy regular size clothes now. I haven't been this size in over 10yrs. I still have another 66 lbs to go to get to my doctors goal. Patience!!! LOL
  2. First Dr. appointment was 03/20/12 and I weighed 278. May 16th day of surgery weight was 265. As of 07/14 I weighed 228. A total 50 lbs lost!! I only weigh once a week on saturdays to keep from getting frustrated because I vary so much.
  3. I like the Premier Protein Shakes. I am 5 weeks out and still have one every morning. I like the taste and it has 30 grams of protein!
  4. How far out are you? I had that feeling for a couple weeks after surgery. I had to put a pillow on my right side, roll over part way on it then ease up. I am almost 4 weeks out now and don't have that feeling anymore. But I feel for ya...I hurt so bad I almost cried when that would happen. Use the pillow it might help
  5. Whew!! I thought that I was the only one that was experiencing this. I am almost 4 weeks out also.

  7. I'm right there with ya Delta_35!! I am constantly belching all the time!! I don't have the nausea with it like you do tho. It doesn't matter if I am drinking or eating I always have to belch. It does get embarrassing when you're out in public, but I guess I can always blame it on the hubby for doing it (he he he)

  10. Finally made it to the losers bench! Had surgery on May 16th and doing great! To date a total loss of 34 pounds since the start of my journey in March...YAY!!!! Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences that has helped me along the way and prepared me for what was to come. Keep up the good work everyone!!!!
  11. I am with you Delta! I am having surgery tomorrow also and have had second thoughts. But then I stop and think about the rewards of having the surgery. Think of all the positives. We will get thru this!
  12. I talked to my surgeon about that yesterday. He told me at least the first week no riding. After that if I am not taking any pain medications and I feel up to it that i can ride. But then he told me no heavy lifting until he sees me after my 1 week follow up. You may want to talk to your surgeon every surgeon has different guidelines.
  13. Congrats! I have my endoscopy this friday and then surgery May 16th. I'm super excited and a little nervous! Hope everything goes well for you!
  14. Congratulations! My surgery date is May 16. Extremely excited and nervous at the same time! Good luck!

  17. Good Morning Everyone, I am new here to this site. I just started my journey on 03/19 with my first appointment with the surgeon. Put me on the pre op diet right away and said that I needed to lose at least 10 to 15 pounds before surgery. Let me tell you... this diet has been tough. I have often wondered if I am doing the right thing by having surgery. But then I remind myself of the end result...no more meds and a slimmer, healthier me! The diet does work tho because I have already lost 13 pounds. YAY! I have already had my Psych evaluation and preo op tests. Just need a release from the Cardiologist, Nutritionist, and have my Scope. Hopefully they submitt to my insurance for approval soon. I am so ready for the new me and take my spot on the losers bench!! Thanks for listening Danielle
