Got Back In Bed.. Felt Like Something Ripped!

I just got up to use the restroom and getting back in bed ....I felt something rip on my upper right side. Right by my top incision. The pain was so bad I had to get up and walk around. I felt a little better until I tried to inhale and the now I have sharp pains that comes and goes. Has anyone had this before? I don't want to wake up my husband he just got off work and he is super tired. Everytime I call my doc about something he says that it is unrelated to him and I should call my PCP. Don't know what I should do

That's a really crappy answer from the doctor! Did you call your PCP? Is the pain still present? If its still there and its bad you might want to think about going to the ER. Something ripping could be bad, its better safe then sorry!

If you still hurt, call the surgeon. I agree, crappy answers before but if you call this time and he tells you it has nothing to do with him, its time to ask him what you CAN call for :-) or go to the ER how far out are you?

How far out are you? I had that feeling for a couple weeks after surgery. I had to put a pillow on my right side, roll over part way on it then ease up. I am almost 4 weeks out now and don't have that feeling anymore. But I feel for ya...I hurt so bad I almost cried when that would happen. Use the pillow it might help :)
