Hey all i wanted to share that i reached my first mini goal since surgery (4/18). i was always exercising and dieting before the band..i would loose 25 and just stop loosing at a certain number..no matter what i ate and how hard i worked out...i even thought i had something wrong with me b/c i could not get the scale to move in a year...gave up and i all came back hense the reason for lapband....that being said today i finally am one pound below that weight that wouldnt budge!! feels great to beat that scale for once...so far ive lost 33lbs and i now im on to the next goal!

Hi scooby..yes i experienced the same thing...i explained as a cramping feeling u get when u eat and the swim...i waited like three days and saw the dr who sent me for ultrasound and i found out i had small gallstones n gallbladder will have to come out...the pain stopped ironically the same day and i havent had it since. My doc said if i have another attack i would have to have it removed. I was also a week post op and just didnt want to do surgery again...hope u feel better!

  4. Hey all..im six weeks out and just got my first fill today. I am now at 7cc in 10cc band..it didnt hurt at all!! i was suprised. Hopefully this will give me some more restriction

  9. Hi sasha..my dr had me do proteun shakes for two weeks...just this past monday i was able to have two snacks a day which i have a low cal yogurt and skim string cheese and one meal of 3oz protein and 3oz veggies along with my two shakes
  10. I had my surgery on april 18th. Thw first week i had a xouple episodrs of diarreah so i took some imodium. Then i couldnt go for awhile so i stopped. Had maybe a week of normal stool and now bam! horrible gas pains and diarreah for two days! I had the chills and i thought i was gonna throw up at the same time (thankfully i didnt) ..anyone else go thru this? is it normal?

  12. I had my surgery on 4/18 n last sunday had horrible pain on right side. Did ultrasound n i have small gallstones. Since then the pain has stopped but it will have to come out eventually...trying to wait as long as possible...im not ready for another surgery yet
  13. Im 4/18 as well n my port has aslo started to hurt...more like a tearing pinching feeling
  14. I gave up coffee a week before surgery so i would detox before hand...it was a hard three days nd so far its been two n a half weeks without it. I can say i actually feel great waking up now n when i can drink it again next week i will be using decaf..one less stimulant in my body...n fyi caffine is a natutal appetite stimulant
  15. Ive had multiple dreams of food...i could really taste it n feel the texture..i thought i really ate it when i woke up lol
  16. I can recall them vividly too! i could actually feel the texture of the food on my tongue lol
  17. Lol dhales..i thought that...but last night i ate a chicken parm in my dream n that is not in my house lol
  18. I know this sounds funny but since day 5 post op ive been dreaming that i am eating food and i wake up nervous as if i really cheated lol (im only allowed shakes for two weeks) the same thing happened to me when i quit smoking. It feels and taste soooo real...guess its on my subconcious

  21. Thanks phatkatblue...my dr requires first five days of clear liquids..no soups or anything..then two weeks of just three protein shakes a day and clear liquids..again no soup broth yogurt...i start mushies for dinner only on may 7th
  22. I agree...i was banded on april 18th n i just started shakes...have to do them for two weeks...its soooo hard..i broke down on day five thinking i couldnt do it...today i am feeling better but this is harder then any diet ever! i have battled so mant weight loss diets...we can do this!!!
