  1. i had this same problem. when i had my first fill, the doctor told me that i did heal quickly, my swelling went down and that is why i felt no restriction. i am going to need another fill to hit that "sweet spot" but, by the time i had my first fill, i had gained back all of my post-surgery weight loss. my recommendation: just watch it - eat how you know you should, DO NOT eat too much and stretch yourself out. The key to the lapband is the fill. Truly.
  2. this same thing happened to me - i was banded 1/8/07. I ended up getting a blood test from my OBGYN, but the nurse told me that they are just as accurate as urine tests. When it was negative as well, she said the change in food and the "stress" of the upcoming surgery was probably the culprit. Good luck!
