  1. IRON!! I was feeling like that along with getting dizzy then I realized the vitamin I was taking had no iron in it. Started taking an iron supplement and literally the next day I felt like a different person! Try it
  2. I think what you're feeling is where your skin in loose. Think about a balloon filled with sand...if its stuffed full then it will feel firm. If you take out some sand it will be squishier.
  3. I just saw my nut Friday and asked her about this. She said that your body breaks down and uses carbs much faster than protein so the more carbs you eat, the faster you'll get hungry. If you eat lean protein then you'll stay fuller longer. I've been trying to cut my carbs way back since she told me that and am noticing a difference. So for breakfast I went from eating a breakfast bar to having a spoon full of peanut butter. So far so good! Cause I am sick of being hungry!!
  4. I don't know how it is for everybody but I started out that way and about 1 month out I started getting hungry. I get hungry at regular meal times. But thankfully it only takes a few bites to be full.
  5. Oops I posted this in the wrong area!!!
  6. Does anyone else feel guilty when talking about your weight loss? I know it took courage to have surgery and I know I've had to struggle to follow the rules, but when I talk about how much I've lost or people compliment me I always feel the need to clarify that I didn't do it on my own. Anyone else feel like this?
  7. I'm trying to find out if I'm a slow loser or not. Also I want to see what others, who started around the same time as me, have been eating and how much they're working out. Let me know! Thanks! Highest weight: 270 Surgery date: 03/22/12 Weight day of surgery: 263 Current weight: 224
  8. Girl you better do that!!!! I love my hubby to death but I am not joking when I say he annoyed the heck out of me at the hospital. His back hurt, he was hungry, he couldn't sleep. I was more worried about him than I was myself! I say let him stay with the kids and let you and the nurses concentrate on you. Good luck!
  9. He was prob trying to be funny....and very unsuccessfully. But i will say that I read a lot of stuff about pain after surgery and I was terrified, but I had very little pain. I was sore and a bit uncomfortable but not in pain. Everyone is different and some people hurt worse than others but I've never heard anyone say it wasn't worth the pain. So even if you feel like you were in the bar fight from hell...when you recover you'll say "damn that was an awesome night!"
  10. ME TOO! I honestly never connected it to surgery until just now reading your post! Since surgery I've had like 5 sinus infections and have stayed congested. I'm now taking 2 different allergy medicines and it's helping some. Now I'm really curious if this correlates to the surgery.
  11. That's awesome! What size did you start out at?
  12. My surgeon said he will use my sleeve scars and have to add one tiny one. I'm excited about him using my bigger sleeve scar because he glued it shut last time and so the scar is bigger than it should be IMO. I'm going to ask him to suture it this time so I will just have a tiny line now instead of an oval scar.
  13. Did having it out slow you weight loss at all? I've read some stuff about gaining weight after the surgery, but that was from unsleeved people. Im curious if it effects us the same way.
