  1. Had all my pre op testing today. Had to have an upper GI. Dr told me I have a hiatal hernia! Is this something that they would cancel my surgery for? Is this something he can repair with my surgery? I'm so ready for this and don't want a set back.
  2. My husband is at Keesler Afb in MS. I'm having the surgery in Mobile Al. You?
  3. After my consult I had to go to all my Drs and get them to send in all medical records. That took about 2 weeks. Was approved right away. Then it took 2 weeks for the nutrician class. Then three more weeks to get back to see dr for set up visit. Then 4 weeks for preop tests and surgery. Waiting on each dr visit is what takes so long. My surgery is 6/19.
  4. I have Tricare regular south. It was very easy. Approval was quick. I will have surgery on the 19th. Took about 2 1/2 months for everything.

  19. Hi! My surgery is on 6/19. I have not told anyone except my husband ( who is very supportive) and my (adult) kids and of course my boss. I'm afraid of what my friends and other family will think, or say. I probably should not think that way, but I do.

So excited. Hope there is not a long wait for that. Feels like its been forever already. Everything has gone very smoothly so far that I'm just waiting for something to go wrong.
