this forum is great. I am a insulin dependant type 1 with a insulin pump and I am considering the sleeve surgery. I have dont a lot of research but could not find a lot of information on pumpers and the surgery. I LOVE THIS SITE it helps with so many questions. My big concern was low blood sugars. I am terrified that I am going to go low and not be able to eat anything to get the blood sugars back up. I am glad that there is a soultion for me. Like most of the pumpers I have learned how to just adjust my pump to the food that I eat. I can eat anything I want and just give myself more insulin to counter it. Well it has effected me in the weight catigory big time. I have gained 100 pounds in the 5 years that I have had my pump.
I really dont want to go back to injection because I was horlible about taking them I would fotget or just decided that I didnt want to do it and THAT IS REALLY BAD !!!! so I want to keep my pump and just reduce the amount that I take.
Is anyone thinking about doing the surgery in Mexico. It is so much cheaper and I dont have insurance that will cover this so I have to pay myself.

I was lucky I only had one day of liquids however I had my gastric bypass Jan 2014 and went from 120 units down to 45 units currently the best thing is to montier montier montier

Ok so I am two week and one day post op from the RNY surgery. The first week wasnt bad I felt good was down 26 pounds in one week. Life is good. Well now to the second week. Not so sure what I have done. My brain tells me I am hungery, my stomach hurts when I put Water in it or anything. I just had a thought that my tummy will tell me what not to put in my mouth to eat. Yeah it doesnt do that. I have had a couple of moments that i was like WHAT THE HELLL DID I DO.... I just want to eat like everyone else. I want to go to the buffett and eat a ton of food.< /p>
Then I look at myself in the mirror and tell myself to suck it up becuase you are gona be a HOT MAMA when this is all done. I knew that this process was going to be hard but I miss eatting lol.

I am schduled with DR. A as well in Aug I have done tons of research and found out that he is the best. There is another DR Garcia that people talk very highly of but I did not like the terms of his contract that he had and that he charges more money for the fatter you are. You will be in great hands

I know what you mean. I am getting my surgery in June and I all ready feel that way. I look at food and I am like omg I dont know if I can give you up. But then I tell myself this is for the better and I AM GONA BE ONE HOT MAMA when this is all done and over.
Hang in there you are going through the normal process you will be ok. Just take a big breath
