    Feeling Pretty Low

I haven't logged on in a very long time...I immediately went to your post because I'm a MS girl too. I'm 3 years out and lost 100 lbs. I've been feeling bad lately (physically and mentally- lots of stress in my life right now with an unruly teen) and almost as if I never had the surgery; honestly I've been scared to weigh. I finally did last night and I'm devastated. Ive gained 23 lbs from my lowest weight. I really needed to gain a little (everyone said I looked a little sick that small) butI feel like such a failure! I woke up this morning with renewed hope but I'm so scared I won't be able to get on track. I got a new exercise machine for Christmas and I know all the right things to do but what if it doesn't work? I will encourage you if you will encourage me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My success at 1 month

From what I can see on this forum, everyone is so different in their rate of loss. I think you are doing great! Just keep doing what you are doing and everyday things will change. Congratulations on your success so far!

    Easter Dinner- help

Maybe you could take a tray of deviled eggs made in such a way that you could enjoy them. I have had made several batches of deviled eggs over the last weeks and had like a half of one here and there. They have been easy for me to digest because they are creamy. I saw a recipe where you can use plain Greek yogurt in them in place of mayo. I have been making mine normal and just eating very little.

    Hurting right now.

Awwwwww, sorry you are hurt! I went into this with the idea that yes, there might be loose skin but I would rather have some loose skin than be fat and miserable. You are doing great! Don't let this get you down!

    returning back to work

I went back after one week. I teach college so I don't do anything physically strenuous. I don't think I could have done a lot of standing that 2nd week.

    Silly Hospital Clothing Questions

I just wore the hospital gown until I left and wore what I went in back home. I took stuff with me but never even thought about attempting to get it on over all the IVs and stuff. Now when I got home, I found my coziest pajama pants and shirts and that felt good!

    fear of failing

I have felt everything that is described here. I lost quickly early on and thought, well, I guess this could be it. This might be all I lose (the scale quit moving for a few days)....then all at once, it started coming off again. I understand your fears though- this whole process is one big mental game!

    pickles!

I nibbled on a baby dill at about that same point. Nibbled and chewed, chewed, chewed. Ate about a half of one of those little tiny ones. Helped my craving but kind of hurt my tummy at that point. I guess you could try it and see!

Yes, ProudGrammy, it was me screaming from MS- glad you had your earplugs in. I am still smiling, by the way. :D

    How to Cope?

Your feelings are normal. My family goes to Disneyworld every other year. The last time (last Thanksgiving) that I was there I was so miserable and didn't want to be in pictures, etc. Now, I can't wait until my next trip! I am so happy that the next time I go I will be comfortable in my clothes and not mind pictures. Just go and enjoy yourself and remember that it will be your last time there being uncomfortable. Have a great trip!!!!!
  12. I sleep better than I can ever remember sleeping. My incontinence (which I was on the verge of having surgically repaired) is gone (thank goodness)! I don't have joint pain anymore. I feel overall in a better mood (unless I get slightly dehydrated- so hard to get all these fluids in). It is wonderful what this little tummy can do for you!

    Tomorrow is Monday

I am right there with you! It is so freeing to not be a slave to the latest diet. This is our new life- forever!

    "ONEDERLAND"

Sorry for the all caps but I had to shout it out- I am in onederland now. I almost cried. I have posted this in one other place so forgive me. I can't help it. I am so happy. Goodbye 200s forever! FINALLY! I am at the point now where I am really glad to have done this. There were times I really struggled during the couple weeks but then you get used to the new life and all is well. Good luck everyone!
