  1. Why did you have to go back in?
  2. You are doing great! I admire your honesty and being reflective on truth.
  3. The exact same thing has started with my incision right under my bra. It is not bad enough for meds. I just know it is there. I took some Gas X thinking maybe that was the culprit but it is just tender. I'm rather chesty so I have just chalked it up as body adjustments but I awoke last night being uncomfortable which reminded me of right after surgery. I may be trying to lift some things that are too heavy too early. I am going to see surgeon in two weeks so I am paying close attention. I am hoping it is nothing.
  4. I, too had that moment. I was getting in bed with my husband who I love dearly and it hit me. I want to be healthy but I also want to feel sexy at the same time. So, as i put my sleep mask on (UGH) and looked at my incisions, I thought wth did I do. Now that I am losing weight, and enjoying small achievements-I know that I did the right thing. Everyone has to decide what they are willing to sacrifice. This is my sacrifice and I plan to make it work. Is it and will it be tough at times-absolutely but so is anything that is worth having. Give yourself some more time. Everything will get better. Look at your small achievments.
  5. Yea for you!!!! I can't wait for that opportunity. I bet that feels great.
  6. I need a fill... I am able to eat more than one cup at each meal (sometimes).
  7. Ok, so last night we went out to dinner and I noticed the lady next to me was eating like myself. She had a moment and said she needed to stop because it was stuck. My husband thinks we should have some secret hand signal to show our support while out. Lol...
  8. I'm not sure...wondering the same thing. I have Dermabond.
  9. Breakfast: Protein shake Lunch: Tuna Salad, cheese stick & Campbell's tomato parmesan bisque Dinner: tilapia & broccoli Snack: sugar free dulce de leche pudding

  11. Right...not planning on drinking the oil. I might put it in a Protein shake or apple sauce or something but...those pills are very large!
  12. Same here...my doctor was almost giddy that I presented the idea. She is so supportive and excited. She can't wait to watch me get off all of my meds. She is predicting 3-6 months. I would suggest to you that if this doctor is not positive, there is another doctor around the corner. Go to who you need to to begin your healthy journey. You are taking the first step and that is important. Good Luck to you!
  13. I'm 17 days out and I do not have any pain. Call the hospital where you had the procedure done. They have some other advice. My day surgery lab has called me a couple of times to check on my progress and how I am feeling. They may have some helpful tips.
  14. Thank you! I needed to hear your advice. I teeter between 0-1 pound that I decided that I was only going to weigh once a week. I have lost inches though! My panties are too big and I had to pin my pants today because they are so big. Small achievements but I will take them. I also read on another board that we should try to adjust our calories a bit each day so that our body doesn't get in a rut. One poster mentioned that she tries something each week and it has been working for her to help adjust her calories. She follows a schedule: Monday-clear liquids Tuesday-creamy liquids Wednesday-Soft foods Thursday-Sunday-Regular foods (Weekends with family, etc.) I am wondering how that would work for me? Thought anyone?
  15. I take (1) Centrum chewable and (2) gummy Calcium with my lunch daily. I did begin with my pre-op diet and have continued on. I never thought about the fiber. I need to find those. I also have read about fish oil and the need. Does anyone take fish oil?
  16. I'm not that skinny yet... LOL
  17. How was it? I am bit nervous about it.
  18. I was wondering about tortillas? Flour, corn or both???
  19. Houston area-Banded 3/12/12...Everything is going great! i am so glad I did this!
  20. Add me please...larchuletta
  21. Does anyone use lapband.com to record their food intake?
