Ordered a size 18 jeans from American eagle. I told myself if I didn't fit in them I would work towards it and make it a goal to make them fit. Well this morning they came in the mail I squeezed myself into them and they FIT! I started off at a size 22! Now I'm officially a size 18. They are pretty tight but hey they zipped up and buttoned! I have about another 10lbs for me to actually feel "comfortable" in them lol

I know someone who is having wls and on medicaide. She has two kids whom go to gov funded day cares, she does not work and she gets free schooling for herself. I on the other hand had to pay my 20% bc my ins only covered 80% for my wls. I pay for all of my schooling out of pocket and pay for my daughter to attend day care. All while working full time. There are weeks where my husband works 7 days a week 12 hour shifts. He does this because working and not being a free loader has been instilled in our heads. It upsets me that here we are my husband and I busting our asses off and here is this girl sits at home all day long and guess who's paying for it? We are. I have also come across people who clearly cannot work and on gov assistance. The diff is they cannot work! Physically unable to work.

This was my first surgery EVER! And it was a breeze!!!! It's like a quick nap! My only complaint w the operation would be the nurse that helped me wake up and get dressed post op. she was very rough and very rude. I had never been put under so I was very out of it! Other than that everything was great!!! Good luck! The best is yet to come!

Hi there. I had my surgey on Sept 30, 2011 (which makes me 8 1/2 month or so post op) an I have lost roughly 60 lbs. it is definitely without struggle. I know that I can douch better, but I fell
Iike I have been a success to lose what I have. I have my slip up days and then I realize that I have done wrong, pray about it, and move on. We all are different with different body type. I started out at 307 and now I am at 245. I gain a lb and lose a pound sometimes. That is a part of the weight lose journey. Nothing magical was expected over night, so please anticipate the hard time and the struggle. I put an expectation to lose my next 45 lbs to be a year or so away. If I accomplish it by next summer than I am doing great, but if not I will continue to press on. Stay positive and set small goals that you know you can accomplish and build on them.

I am six pounds from my goal and it has taken me two years and four months to lose 87 pounds. The entire time I've lived the lifestyle I can deal with, which slowed my weight loss down but did not prevent it. I don't regret taking this long to lose the weight or the plateaus I lived on for months at a time. Those plateaus helped me adjust physically and mentally to the changes in my body and life.
The trip to your goal is as important as reaching your goal. My advice to you is to regard the next couple of years as an interesting leisurely journey and not a headlong dash toward being "a success story." Your success story is you have lost 36 pounds in six months and that is absolutely perfect for you. It took me a year to lose that much, but I've still managed to creep up within six pounds of my goal.
    Good luck.

I am with you on that. I was banded on January 14. The first 2 weeks I lost 15lbs. Since then I have lost 1 lbs. I am so disappointed. I had a fill of 2cc on 2/18 and on 3/3. I am still feeling hungry. Why does it seem like this is working for everyone exept me. I expected to loose at least a pound a week.

    Protein pudding :
    1 pkg sugar free pudding
    1/2 scoup Protein
1 serving high Protein Drink instead of milk for box recipe. Just shy of the 2c required top with milk or Water
Low fat & sugar about 100 cals for 1/2 c
Love it! And fills me up! Great with ice cream too for a weekly treat.

Try cleaning! Start cleaning when you "THINK" you are hungry. This has helped me in the evening or I will get on the treadmill. 98% of the time it will pass. I also brush my teeth.

Same thing happened to me on my 4 th fill. They couldn't find the port opening and 2 nurses were jabbing me for about 10 minutes. They eventually found it and said it was because I'm losing weight and it happens. I'm still a bit worried about it! But anyway I was bruised quite bad and was sore for over a week. I was still happy they filled me as I had visions of flipped port and surgery.
I'd say you'll be fine in a week. Good luck x

i too often make bad choices, you just have to learn to say NO. what i did was make myself get everything out of the house that could sabotage me. no more chips, no more sweets, no more ice cream, everything healthy and all good choices in my house for food. once you say NO to that stuff, you start to continue to say no and then you stop craving it. I call those "trigger" foods, if i eat one chip, one icecream cone, one sweet cookie, its all over, i continue to eat that stuff all day and all week. get it out of your house, ask the people you live with or hang out with to respect you and not eat that stuff in front of you and you will see that after you rid your body of those foods you will stop craving them. carry smart food choices with you in your car for Snacks like Protein Bars, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip and when you fill the need to get an icecream, eat a healthy snack and drive past that dairy queen. you can do it. good luck to you

Thank you everyone. I am having a really tough time of it these past couple of days. I sit at my desk at work and I cry. I cannot believe that my entire world is changed forever. Did I mention that the skank is also married with 3 kids? How in the world can another woman do that? Am I from another planet or something. The pain is just unbearable and it's not fair. The confidence that I have built in myself over the last year while losing weight has been destroyed. I find myself going out on the weekends because I get complimented by other men about how good I look. I would never act on any of those invitations to leave with anyone, but the compliments sure are nice. At this point, I don't feel that I could ever be intimate with my husband again. The thought of it just makes me sick to my stomach. The week that he told me I lost 11 pounds. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep...I didn't go to work. Why do so many people do this and don't blink and eye and then when they get caught.... "But I love you...I want this to work...I NOW realize the consequences of my actions". Jesus...can't you think of that prior to doing her? I am no longer wearing my wedding rings because they mean absolutely NOTHING to me. He looked me in my eye and said, "Tina, take and wear this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity". Well hell...that was a lie...I have told him that those rings will NEVER go back on my finger. They are tainted because he lied. People have told me that it gets better as time goes by but for me right now I just can't take it. The one person that I run to in times of need is the one who hurt me. I feel so alone.
