  1. Oh it was like reading my own story. I am 50 had a lapband in Aug 2008. Lost about 50 pounds and have put it all back on. My band has a leak : *( I have never really felt like the band has helped me. If I wasnt starving I was throwing up. I already have approval from my insurance. My surgery is schedual for May 3. I am scared to death to have this surgery done. I am also excited to have it done. I guess it depends on the moment you catch me how I am feeling. I try to spend a lot of time on this website. Looking at the before and after picture I want to be there so bad. I try to look at all of the positive things this surgery can bring me. Well good luck and please keep me posted on how the surgery is????
  2. wow you are soooo beautiful. I am having a lapband to sleeve revision on May3. I am getting so excited to be able to post my pictures like yours I am scared though but when I see these kind of pictures the fear kinda goes in the back of my mind and the thought of being thin and healthy takes over. LOL CONGRATULATIONS
  3. I just love this website So I have a lapband now that is not working. I will go and have my lapband to sleeve revision on May 3. I have read so many good things and everyone seems to be so happy with this surgery. Is there anyone out there who wish they would have never gotten this surgery? and why?? JUST CURIOUS
  4. Hi Pixie, Welcome. I have not yet had my surgery. I have a lapband at present very excited about having the sleeve on May 3. I have found so much comfort in this website. So many people on here to help you get through whatever you need. Good luck
  5. Congratulations Stephanie I have a lapband which has stopped working. I will get my lapband removed and my sleeve on May 3. I am really excited but nervous. Keep us posted on your progress
  6. Oh my gosh I am so nervous. I just got word that my surgery for the sleeve was approved. I got a lap-band on Aug. 2008 and my band is leaking so they are going to have to remove it. I decided to have the sleeve done rather than to be re-banded. I am just soooo nervous. Can anyone tell me how severe the pain is after surgery? I know with the lapband I was up and moving around about 4 hours after surgery. Also when were you able to return back to work? I drive a school bus 8 hours a day and just wondering? I have heard about 2 weeks down time is that about correct for everyone?
