I've dyed my hair numerous times without any dilemmas. What's going to fall out, will fall out no matter what. It does grow back. Enjoy your weight loss.....

No explanation needed. He simply needs time off for personal reasons. If he chooses to say it's medical, they aren't allowed to ask.

I too have discovered this, lol. Anything without a cushion now isn't neccesarily uncomfotable.....but they absolutely aren't as comfortable as they were when I had my builti in cushion.
I had an OMG topper......just found out we're going to have a new baby. Thought my little swimmers maybe dead.....don't know if the weight loss and exercise revitalized them....but here we go!!!

It has been three months since my surgery and I have lost 42 pounds since that day. So we are losing at about the same rate of 14 pounds a month. Sometimes it seems reeeallllly slow, but at other times when I put it into perspective, I realize that I could never have done that on just a DIET! And, by now I would have given up and started to gain it all back plus several more! How long did it take you to gain your weight? The bulk of what I have lost so far took me ten years to gain. Hmm...three months to lose 10 years of weight...seems pretty good to me!
Randi is right about not thinking about what others think of you. Chances are likely they are not thinking of you at all....they are too busy worrying about themselves and their own issues and insecurities! I used to work for a direct sales company and had to teach myself and others this lesson daily! It's really true!!
My suggestion is that you get someone to take a photo of you and compare it to your pre-surgery pictures (if you are like me, these may be hard to find....lol) 54 lbs is a lot of weight! I am sure you will see that you have come a long way. Remind yourself daily that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Slow and steady wins the race. Fuel your body with the right foods and lots of Water. It sounds like you are exercising, playing volleyball. Keep it up! You've got this girl!! We are all here for you!
Oh and as for your mom's butt hole clenching....they have to find some reason to do that! That's what they are best at (at least that is what my teenagers would say about me!)

I echo all of the other posts here, as I have experienced much the same as you all. One other option besides buying new clothes is to have your pants altered in the butt and waist. It helps to reduce the bulk around the middle and let some of your new shape show.
One more thing, beautiful is not having a perfect body. Weight loss does not equal perfect. It is mental and physical health that is beautiful.
    Try to stay focused!

You guys were right... I went to Target today and bought some new jeans, two sizes smaller than I was pre surgery. I could definitely see a difference when I was wearing them, and it cheered me up a little. It's crazy how wearing the same clothes will keep you from seeing the changes! I didn't want to buy any new stuff until absolutely necessary, because I really don't have much money. That was great though

You are doing wonderful. We all go through the not being able to see it part. You definitely need to buy at least one new pair of pants and one shirt (even from Goodwill) to let yourself and others see what you have lost. It took me 50 pounds to see any real difference in myself and about that for others to see it, but only after I wore a more form fitting outfit. The first real compliment I got was "Your arms are so tiny". Not even close, but that was the beginning. Now people who haven't seen me in months or years are really noticing everything. Just hold on a little longer. Suddenly you'll see collar bones, your rings will fall off, and you'll walk straight out of your pants. Plus, you are just DAYS away from ONDERLAND

I agree with Alliemm. 43 pounds is a big weight loss! If you are like many (myself included), you were squeezing yourself into your clothes prior to this journey. Clothes and seams stretch to accomodate our expanding girth. Also, clothing in plus sizes tends to be more generous, so when we start to loose weight, it seems like a long time to drop a whole size. One thing I do know for sure, as you loose weight it is difficult to see in your old clothes. I love the idea of going to try on some new clothes, even if you are not ready to buy yet. As for what your body will look like once you reach goal....there are all kinds of things out there to hold things in, lift things up etc. etc. Spanx and a good bra are two examples. Also, even many pants come with tummy control panels and things like that. So I am sending you a hug and a smile. It is all going to be alright. Do something nice for yourself today and keep up your great work! You and others are going to start to see a difference and it will floor you!

I went shopping for some jeans because of course I can't really fit into my old ones. THEY ARE TOO BIG!! I went into the regular area where I haven't been in years and found things that fit. I am wearing a 14/16 top which is fine and a size 18 pants. I feel beautiful. Not trying to brag, but I haven't felt this good in a loooooong time. I can feel the goal coming.

Who does that? Pretty much all of us. It happens, and it is much better to learn to put yourself back on track now than have this issues after surgery. You've beat yourself up. Think of how you will better prepare yourself the next time the cravings start, but most importantly learn from your mistake and forgive yourself.
Four days before surgery, I was at PF Changs eating another 'last supper,' because my doc told me that the most important part of my pre-op diet was the three days before surgery where I was restricted to Clear Liquids.

Congrats on the 127lbs weight loss! How long have you been at a stand still? I know sometimes it helps me to go back on the liquids (juicing) or homemade smoothies to help me restart my weight loss or if i'm feeling like I need to give me system a break. Just a suggestion not sure if you have tried it or not. I do it for about 7-10 days.
You're not that far from your goal so don't give up and you are still a success 127lbs is alot!!

While it is important to be aware, educated and informed about the surgery and all possible problems...don't let the anxiety cripple you. Just do what the doctor and nursing staff tells you, and you'll be good!

Thanks. I deal with anesthesia pretty well. Just a million questions I want the answer too. Lol. I just want to be able to live a normal life afterwards, I love hunting and fishing and anything outdoors and want to be able to continue without hesitations.
