chitowngirl got a reaction from healthiermeat40 in Eatting All Day!
I'm 7 weeks out and I pretty much eat 6 times a day, they are tiny amounts. So I really wouldn't worry as it seems to be the small amount of food is going to make you hungry every few hours.

I don't deprive myself, however i tend to be satisfied with much less food than before. Most of my meals are Protein based, but I will occasionally have a treat.

Its a personal decision, there is no right or wrong answer. You do what you feel is right.

So I ate, then started watching Grey's Anatomy and saw Lexie die, and I just started balling. Then all of a sudden I vomited my food. It was weird. Just had to get that out.

It's literally as simple as "Just Do It". Get on the bike for 5 minutes at a time. Do it when you first get up in the morning, or for a few minutes when you first get home. It is a great stress reliever and, honestly, you may not be able to do more than 5 minutes on the bike OR treadmill when you first start. Every little bit helps, though, and you'll soon find that you are able and willing to do more.
Yes, they want you to work out 4 hours per week, but you can start with baby steps. Do 5 minutes today, then add 30 seconds each day. The cardiovascular fitness is super helpful with surgery recovery and you'll be miles ahead of the game for post-op. Working out will also boost your serotonin levels in your brain, which will improve your mood.
I had an EKG last year before surgery and recently had another. I have been concentrating on my outer appearance and the scale, but my pulmonologist told me that my current EKG shows good results from all of the cardio I've been doing. THAT is incredibly sexy to me, and it lets me know that I am going in the right direction health-wise.
Any exercise you do now will improve your health and exercise increases your energy levels, which means you'll be better able to handle those 12 hour work days and chasing your 3 year old. Even once you're up to 1/2 an hour a day, it's not a big time investment, but it will pay big dividends in your energy levels.
Just do it. Start slow, add time in small increments and enjoy the benefits!

The surgery does actually effect hormones, so that could be it. But have no fear the journey gets easier/better with each day that passes.

I only told a few family members and no friends. I'm sure my coworker/lunch buddy suspects something, as when it comes to lunch time, her response is we can go eat anywhere you can eat. Lol, at this point I really don't care, as long as they ask out of concern and not gossip. Pre op I really didn't want to say anything but now I don't give a damn, but on that note I still don't go around advertising it.

Congrats. I know it feels like forever, but before you know it may 31 will be here. I would suggest practacing with the slow eating, the whole chewing 30 times takes some getting used to.

My surgeon was so against that to the point if we gained weight he would cancelled the surgery. So even if I wanted to I was way to scared to.

Has your doctor gave you any meds for nausea?? Also my surgeon told me that nausea is a symptom of dehydration. So try to sip your way through 64 ounces of Fluid, that should help. Hope you feel better soon.

What you are feeling is totally normal. But trust me when I say seeing is believing. It will happen, the day will come when you will just be another girl, and not the fat girl. Your going be in denial for a while, because the weight can't come off fast enough.

So tonight I was taking a bath and I realized that I fit in the tub a whole lot better. My hips are not stuck up against the sides as much and the Water actually flows behind me. BUT more importantly, when I looked in the mirror afterwards, I could actually see my girl parts for the first time in 3 years. Lolol
