  3. I also am a little over 3 months out and have lost over half my excess. I am eating and drinking all the time its all I do it seems. I cannot imagine trying to get more food in. Your metabolism may just be working well for you with what you are eating. I would just keep doing what your doing if your doctor is not concerned about your health than your doing something right.
  4. It is definitely cheaper to park at the border vs the airport. It was $7 a day for 24 hours.
  5. I can go all day without eating and have no hunger pains at all. I have to make a conscious decsion to eat and get my protein in. Every once in a while I will crave something but it is mainly from my head never my stomach. It feels so weird because I could definitely eat a lot before surgery.
  6. It would be nice if they could feel for one day how people few someone that is overweight. They have no clue how we have felt and been treated. What it is like to try and find cute clothes without looking or feeling sloppy. If their was only a true way to make them feel what we have felt it would be a blessing to humanity.
  7. That is absolutely great!! Congrats!! I hope I have a similar story when I reach my year!
  8. I am with the don't ask don't tell motto. I told one person in my family and got a very negative response so I am selective about who I tell. I also like hearing how good I look and having a positive response versus oh you had surgery response. Some people are either jealous that you had or say it is the easy way out. They are ignorant and have no idea how hard this decision is to make and live with. With that said I would not change my decision for anything. I am very happy with my loss and very happy with my life right now. Telling is very personal choice because everyone has family and friends with different a outlook on WLS. Good luck to everyone.
  9. I have lost 59lbs in 12 weeks and have excess skin on my arms and inner thighs. I am also 40 years old though. It all depends on how much weight you need to lose and your age. I will definitely be having plastic surgery after I reach goal. I have seen some younger people not have a noticeable problem with excess skin. Everyone is different because of their skin elasticity so I would not worry about the skin just worry about losing the weight and being healthy. The skin will either bounce back or it won't. It is a problem that can be fixed. When you have rapid weight loss it does have an affect on your skin with everyone but some is just worse than others. Good luck. Working out does help some.
  10. I was told to only use Tylenol forever. Nothing else and not take too much of that.
  11. I am glad you had a great experience as did I! Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your journey!
  12. I had random sharp pains for a while on the left side also. I believe it was from the largest incision on that side trying to heal. It eventually went away but that incision took the longest to heal.
  13. Sounds great! My friends name is Angie and I am Phyllis. I had my surgery on May 7th so she wanted me to go as a support system.
  14. I will be there on July 30th with my friend. She is having her surgery that day. Too bad we will be gone by the time you have your surgery on Friday. It would have been nice to see you before your surgery.
  15. It is totally normal. I am ten weeks out and everytime I eat it happens. I call it my alien talking because especially if I eat something new it will make all kinds of noises and gurgle sounds. Weird I know but I hope eventually it will go away.
  16. Congratulations! That is an awesome start to your journey!!
