  1. Im stalled too. Im 4wks out today and have been pretty much stalled for a week. Trying to increase Protein and cals to break out of it, but 1 oz of dense protein is all I can do, so increasing shakes, yogurt ect. As I can do 4-5 oz of these soft or liquid Protein sources. Hang in there. I doubt your doing anything wrong this early out. We'll be fine.
  2. Surgery date 3/28 Starting weight 206 Current weight 182 Energy to burn!! And feeling great.
  3. I flew to Virginia from San Diego with only a 30 minute layover in Ft Worth. Very long flights to and from. Walk as much as possible while in Mx..I was all over the place. Stretch your legs/rotate ankles/flex calves on plane. Never had any any problems. Good luck!
  4. Great job! Glad to hear from a vet. Nice to know that if u slack, u can always jump back into making good choices.
  5. Congrats! U look great. The increase in energy alone is awesome! Im 4 wks out and helped my son cut grass and weedeat. Last year, I paid someone too.
  6. Its about 2 oz maybe a bit more. (Its gastrograffin) Dr. Kelly doesn't use barium because it can cause problems if it were to leak into the body cavity. Gastrograffin would absorb. It does taste horrid. But swallow it quickly, and have the SF gum ready for when its over. U got this Good luck and congrats!
  7. The ingredients do say milk protein isolate...same thing?
  8. Im only 3.5 weeks out, but I want to join a kickboxing gym, try biking and definately kayaking and hiking with my son.
  9. I woke up w/ no pain. A little pressure under the diaphram from gas but no pain. My biggest issue was nausea from the anesthesia..once I got through that I was munching ice chips, walking all over the place and sleeping. By day 3, I was exploring Mexico
  10. Awesome job. U look beautiful.
  11. Great pics. You look very handsome.
  12. Wow!! Congrats on your success!
  13. Very inspirational. You look beautiful! Thanks for posting.
  14. I've heard its the stored hormones being released w/ the weight loss. I had mine 1 week after, but I was almost due. It was much lighter than normal though.
  15. I was a heavy coffee drinker preop. But now dont care for it. I was also a smoker. I quit 2 weeks preop but still craved and cheated occasionally. Since surgery, cant stand the smell and have no cravings. Weird, but thankful.
  16. Just an update..Dr. Kelly stated that my sleeve is small..not sure if my 5'0 stature had anything to do with that. I can eat about 1.5 oz of dense protein..chicken salad, shrimp ect. I can drink fine, but maybe 4 oz at a time with a couple breaks inbetween to finish a 12oz shake. I used to love cold water..no more. My favorite thing now is hot decaf teas. I was a coffeeholic and smoker presleeve, now have a weird aversion to both. (good on the smokes lol). I can drink coconut water easily, but I watch the calorie intake from it. Working on finding a no cal flavoring I can handle. I even tried Hint waters..ewww. Im averaging about 50-60 grams of protein a day and improving my routine and intake daily. I feel great. Started work 10 days postop with no problems. Im not quite 3 wks out, but down 23#. Im happy with that so far. Overall, I was blessed with an easy recovery. Hope all those Easter sleevers are doing as well.
  17. Surgery 3/28. My care at Florence was also top notch. No problems. Nurses were good. Yes, the place is dated, but being renovated. Despite the older look and equipment, it was adequate and all in working order. I had all WLS patients in the rooms near me. I had Dr. Kelly, and while leak tests CAN be done at Florence, he prefers the newer and better images on the flouro camera at Hospital Angeles which is very modern, so he has it done there enroute to the hotel. Surgeon preference and wasnt a big deal.Wonderful personal experience, and would do it again at Florence.
  18. Slow go as expected. Sleeved 3/28 only down 21#. Not getting enough fluid and protein so its my own fault. Trying to do better but plain water and those nasty sugar free flavorings turn my stomach and protein drinks fill me too fast. It'll happen.
  19. Holy Wow!! You look fabulous! Congrats!
  20. Wow! You look wonderful. Congrats!
  21. Sleeved 3/28. Cant say I've felt hunger yet. I only know Ive fallen behind on needing something because I get a little dizzy with overactivity and not taking in any calories.
  22. Glad you had a good experience. Congrats and welcome to the losers bench.
