What a change, it is nice to have those before pics so that we can look back and see how far we have come. Can't wait until it is my turn to look at my before pic and just gasp at the difference

Hi Cindy, My surgery is Mar 20, I live in Canada so I have to go to Mexico to have it done. My doctor said that I am the perfect candidate because I am healthy "now" and in 10 years I won't be. I am 36 now and a single mom so I need to have as many healthy years as I can. Can't wait to start this new life but I don't have any rose coloured ideas that this is going to be easy, & I know I will miss my quart of ice cream a night. lol

I am having my surgery with him on March 20. I have heard nothing but good about Dr. Ponce.

I feel the exact same way!!! My surgery is scheduled for Mar 20 and the days are crawling by.

2BThinAlways - we are neighbors, I am going for my surgery on Mar 20, you will be right behind me.

I live in Canada and to qualify for VSG here you need to not only be morbidly obese but also must have many co-morbidities. If you aren't "lucky" enough to have the trifecta then you can go on a waiting list for 10 years.

Who did your surgery?

Trish is not working for Dr. Kelly anymore because he is taking over his own bookings and his wife is in charge of it. Dr. Kelly will not be using co-ordinators anymore. It is not indication to not have surgery with Dr. Kelly.

Did you already book your surgery or were you looking to book? You are freaking me out because I am booked with Trish for Dr. kelly and now you go ahead and say this making me wonder if my surgery is going to be cancelled.

I am getting my sleeve in March. My mother is very supportive, even to the point of helping me pay for it, only because she can't stand to have a fat daughter. What do you say, or has it even happened to you, when people think back and say "can you believe you were that HUGE!!" My thing is, at 277lbs, I can take off 20lbs and put them right back on and no one notices, but if I get thin and put 5-10 back on I don't want the "ohhh remember when you were big, you don't want to go back there stare." I booked with Trish for Dr. Kelly on Mar 20 and I had no problems or drama.

Hi, I am getting sleeved with Dr. Kelly on Mar 20 and I think I am just going to stick to 3 Protein shakes and 2 yogurts a day for the 2 weeks. Speaking only for myself, I have to be very structured or I will fall off the wagon. Alana Hope this helps.

My surgery is March 20 with Dr. Kelly but Trish (co-ordinator) advised me that I will have a sleeve sister there and that makes me feel much better.
