  1. I am soooo excited for u guys! I am one week post-op now. I got dressed to go to my check up with the surgeon this morning to get my drain removed and my clothes are already getting super baggy...any pain u feel after is worth it...mine was excrucitating. Most don't have it that bad...but one week out and already looking better and clothes looser...can't beat it!!
  2. 23rd...is getting close!! Soooo close!!
  3. Its getting better...seems to be the most sore on the inside during the first part of the day. But getting around much better for sure!!
  4. Yep...drain won't be removed till tomorrow. Hopefully he will let me know what to do with the incisions too. I would like to change the bandages or clean the sites or whatever it is I am supposed to do.
  5. He took it off to check the drain and incisions a couple times. I slept with it on. I wore it yesterday because the soreness was bad but took it off when I felt better!
  6. Like a core body wrap...should fit right under the chest area (breast or slightly lower on women) and goes down to cover the belly button. Its a super long rectangle.
  7. I was told liquids are sliders and so even though u can't drink a ton, u never really feel full. Should start to feel restriction on mushies and soft foods. But definitely don't drink too much. U are doing just right.
  8. Yep...I still wear it when I get sore. I am 5 days post op. And its awesome!!
  9. I updated but I had started another thread and forgot about this one in my drugged state...lmao! My surgery had some complications I wasn't expecting. Stayed 2 extra days I wasn't expecting and scared my poor hubby half to death. But Jesus got me thru it. And I am sore but feeling so much better today. Can't give a weight update. I was told by the surgeon not to weigh till he takes my drain out. My whole body was swollen due to blood pressure issues and water retention. So the scale isn't likely to be accurate till the swelling goes down. Even so, the fam says I look thinner. I will find out Tues.
  10. I feel the fluids too...those do sound like gas pains...walk around the house as much as u can. Mine seems to get better the more I pass gas and move around!
  11. I can do strained soups next week when I am on full liquids...can't wait! Strained tortilla soup sounds heavenly!!
  12. Good...u will thank me afterward...wished I had it when I had gall bladder surgery. It was awesome!
  13. I just had a sugar free snow cone and it was delish!! I can drink clear fluids ok. Not sure how I will do with the protein shakes. I don't have to start those till next week.
  14. I woke up from surgery with mine on. I would start by asking the surgeon if they will be putting one on after surgery. Maybe try some medical supply stores would be my guess.
  15. I did what everyone else is telling u to do. And still am. Don't think about what u will go thru. Think of the outcome!!
  16. I had a drain..still do. Mine gets left in till Tues. It works out!
  17. Post op 4 days. I remember them telling me they were about to wheel me in to surgery. Then I remember waking up as I was being wheeled in to my room I would be staying in. And being so sleepy I couldn't keep my eyes open. So I didn't!! LOL...u will be fine!!
  18. I have high BP. And anxiety. But heart is healthy. 4 days post op and been tachycardic since the day of surgery. My BP spiked for a day and wouldn't go down, however, my surgeon says this happens. And can be corrected. My BP is back to normal but my tachycardia may not subside for several more days. Your surgeon knows what he is doing. Don't worry. My surgeon was on top of everything. Checked my labs and treated anything that looked funny right away so I recovered pretty rapidly.
