  1. Let me tell you, the thing saved me. It was amazing. Its a wrap they place before u wake up in recovery. Its hugs your incisions and allows you to get up and walk and go to the bathroom without feeling like your insides are falling out. It also helps when u cough. I got the hiccups too and it helped with that...
  2. Each surgeon chooses what plan they want to follow. The one they believe is best for their patients according to data and research and patient feedback. Someone on this website suggested using the seasoning packets from Ramen Noodles mixed with water instead of broth. I am 4 days post-op...I tried it last night because I wouldn't eat any broth I was sick of it. And it was fabulous. Also, I am going to seek out a sugar free snow cone today!!
  3. I am feeling better...still tachycardic...but I am hoping it will reverse itself as my body finds its new "normal". Other than that and being sore I feel great and definitely ready to tackle this thing!!
  4. I am right there with ya!
  5. Raven that Is what was happening with me. Had to stay a day more. had another hiccup. Going home in an hour or so. Thank Jesus for getting me thru...
  6. I thought it was just acid reflux cause that's what I was told by a previous doctor a few yrs back. Good thing is, I haven't had any heart burn since surgery!
  7. The surgeon discovered a large hiatel hernia as he was starting the operation. It was also in a very difficult spot. So it added an extra 2 hrs to the surgery. And due to its location it has made my recovery super painful. Due to the pain, this morning and most of the day my heart rate became tachycardic. And my limbs swelled up. My face turned beet red. Which had everyone extremely concerned. I couldn't walk at all yesterday. The surgeon said it was too dangerous due to the hernia repair. So imagine all the pain plus gas...it was awful. However, this morning he let me walk, the swelling is going down, heart back to normal and I feel much better!! Thanks for checking on me! I got thru it!! Yay me!!
