  1. I knew it was too good to be true!! LOL...I am still going to get them done tomorrow. I will look cute for 10 days then scrub them off...no harm no foul...and it will get me outta the house and not thinking about surgery all day!
  2. I go for my pre op pack and testing Monday so I am sure I will find out then. Who tells you guys all this stuff? My surgeon is the head of the bariatric program at the hospital and told me it was fine....but, I haven't spoken to anyone at the hospital yet. I wonder if they will go over all that when I register at the hospital??? Seems like when I had my gallbladder surgery I had the same requirements you guys are talking about but I recall being told that when I registered at the hospital. It was 10 yrs ago...and my memory isn't as good as it used to be...LOL
  3. Nope! I am pre op but my surgeon said it was fine to continue getting my nails and pedis done too. Some surgeons require you not to have any nail polish or toe polish on but mine said it was fine. I colored my hair last week and getting mani pedis tomorrow with a friend to get ready for surgery!
  4. Can't make any promises...hehehhehehe
  5. My surgery is May 15th. Start the pre op liquid diet Sunday...how are all the Mays holding up? I am doing ok...staying as busy as I can to pass the time. How is everyone else? Post and pre-op???
  6. @tibbie don't say it like that!! LMAO!! My date is May 15th. I woke up today going, holy cow...its 11 days away!! And had to stop myself from jumping out the window like the cowardly lion!! Hahahhahaha
  7. The thing is, I could have the sleeve and end up with Alzheimers in my 60's or later...or not get the surgery, and probably not make it to my 50's.....my Aunt died in her early 50's from heart disease brought on my obesity...and there isn't any clear studies that show greater risk of Alzheimers after this type of surgery that I know of. So I have to choose surgery....
  8. I am so sorry you are going through this. Hoping your doc gets you better and quick!!
  9. Oh my days are numbered...liquid diet starts Sunday! Dum da dum dum!!
  10. Mine did too. I was supposed to be May 8th...I watched my ticker app on my phone count down to 2 weeks till surgery then they called and rescheduled to May 15th...oh well. It worked out better for my fam anyway! And now I am down to 12 days left! It will go by fast...I kept busy to pass the time and it is working awesome!
  11. Welcome Katr!!! And good luck! I start my diet Sunday, I'm skeeeeered...LOL
  12. Yep, I have been relishing every trip to our favorite Chinese Buffet since I first went to see the surgeon...
  13. I start the liquid diet Sunday and I am nervous also!!! Determined to do it, and still nervous!!
  14. @Jswilbur...that man is a keeper!!
  15. Lol @ Lisa....my husband kept telling me "just give me a list and I will get it done, whatever it is"....well I was being stubborn and didn't think I should have to give him a list so I didn't. And it went on round and round for a couple of yrs...neither one of us were happy. When I finally broke down and decided it was time for some internal changes I started writing the man lists and I'll be darned if he didn't do everything and then some..LOL
  16. Glad to know u are doing so well!!
  17. Congrats May 23rd sleevies!!!
  18. I like what Gene said, keep busy. When I sit down or stay still for too long I start thinking about it and get anxious and time seems to stop...just keep it movin and try not to even think about it too much, before u know it, u will be on the other side!!
  19. @starsleeve...I just had my Q and A with my surgeon...he warned me about that right side incision. That is where he takes out the stomach so he has to stretch that one out and it takes longer to heal...hope this helps!!
  20. @gmanbat....I hope I never stop pursuing my sweet hubby with a passion...wink wink!! LOL
  21. I am the same as you only didn't have to have the endoscopy or do the 6 mths...
