  1. Oops, mobile app posted my comment twice!
  2. Woot! Woot! Me too! I fit into some snug 16s this morning. Hooray for us!!!
  3. I lost about 15 pounds in my 1st two weeks and have been stalled for the past week and a half but am noticing inches gone. I was able to fit in a size smaller jeans today! Don't worry too much about what the scale says, its all about how you feel. I've decided not to weigh myself again until my next follow up with the doctor. That scale is evil! Plus, dropping several pounds overnight is not only unlikely but also unhealthy! Your body needs time to process the major changes it is going through.
  4. Maybe try sugar free or no sugar added ice cream. Blue Bell makes a no sugar added Dutch Chocolate ice cream that I was surprised to find has 4g protein and 6g fiber per half cup!
  5. This morning I fit into some size 16 jeans and a top I haven't dared wear in a while because of my fat stomach. I'm sure I can't fit all 16s but it's my first size down and I'm so excited I'll just wear this pair like they're going out of style! :.D
  6. They gave me Starbucks coffee, black of course, in the hospital. I thought I was in Heaven! I am almost 4 weeks out now and drinking about 2 cups a day with a tablespoon of half and half and some artificial sweetener. No problems here. I specifically asked about coffee before I decided on whether to do my surgery or not. I think it would have been a deal breaker for me if I could never have my coffee again!
  7. I'm wondering if the Protonics I'm taking had anything to do with it. I forgot to take my pill in the morning so I took it before lunch. My stomach was kind of upset in the afternoon but by dinner it was fine, perfect actually. Are you taking anything for acid Cheles?
  8. I wish! I lost 20 pounds pre op with my 6 month supervised diet and the 2 week pre op liquid diet.
  9. I'm 3.5 weeks out and pretty much had gotten used to the odd feelings associated with eating. However, I just ate some tilapia and mashed potatoes and not one twinge, gurgle or anything! I assumed I'd have the discomfort for a while when I eat and drink. It feels good to feel normal!
  10. I think your body reacts to major changes such as changes in your diet and weight loss. I'm on the depo provera shot and usually never have a period because of it but right toward the end of my 2 week pre op diet I started bleeding and have been on and off ever since, about a month. Def ask you doctor. Maybe some form of birth control could help if you're not already taking something.
  11. I am celebrating with you! I reached onederland as of this morning! Yay us! Yay sleeves
  12. Sorry to hear you're having to stay in the hospital. That happened to me too. They kept me for 3 nights because I couldn't keep anything down. They said I probably had a reaction to the anesthesia. Hopefully you can go home soon but at least you're where they can take good care of you. I know there is no place like home but if you get dehydrated you'll end up right back in the hospital. Don't rush yourself! Try the popsicles if they have them. That was the only thing that I could stomach at first. I think the cold helped with the extra swelling. Good luck!
